I need to check which retro shirts I have during the week, but I think I'm going for the Centenary away kit. Due to my age it'll be one of the few older shirts I've got that still fit. (When I was 15 I was both shorter and skinnier than I am now)
University of Hull 4th division shrt with thick amber stripes and thin black and white shirt for me and 88/89 Riding Bitter shirt for daughter.
Just bought a heritage slim fit Penguin polo shirt in a lovely mustard colour. Saw it and thought of Waggy in the '60's. Looks ok with my CITY TILL WE DIE scarf.
One that i wont be getting out is the Twydale Turkey shirt. More than likely this seasons home shirt as that is what we are wearing for the game.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-r...efaultDomain_3&hash=item20e54103ad#ht_351wt_0 This is a rare bastard.
I remember that one. Why is it so rare? I had the very similar one with black across the shoulders rather than white with red admiral logos.
I assumed it was by the high price and there are already two offers in. Can't recall seeing any shirter sporting one. No idea how many were produced and sold. Don't do shirts. I left school yonks ago.
Bit off topic, but I bought a 1982 England shirt today for a tenner (it was wrongly priced by the looks of things, the others were £25). Much better than the overpriced ****e they've had in recent years.
my city shirt that I got autographed by price, Delaney, joseph, hinds etc, not worn it since 2005, had it In a plastic container if it's ruined then probably last seasons shirt or the shirt from our first championship campaign after relegation in 2010 ive never had a premier league shirt yet
just found another ive not seen in years it's striped but very thick stripes, think its the league one home shirt, might wear that
Honestly, the photos dont do them justice. I offered them to a collectors' website and they said they couldnt make me an economical offer, but they were the best shirts they had ever seen. And they werent even City fans.
