They mustn't object to him copping a feel- and must be under kids- or have childish looks. / Wenger will retire and become a priest one day.
Never mind, having re read it, it could have been either way, I worded it wrong. What areas do you guys think need strengthening? DM is one a lot of people say needs a look.
Well I thought defence. But when I said that the other day someone piped up and said that the Defenders were fine, but the problem was they didnt have adequate cover from DM because Gerrard wasnt suited for that role and gets too far forward or something to that effect. CB and RB I would have thought. You have Johnson, Kelly and Flanagan for RB right?
Johnsons been ****e though, Kelly is injured a lot and not really seen him much but dont think BR is to keen Flanno brilliant! Heart and desire, just needs consistency which age will bring I think and tidy up a few bits of his game
Don't have to use same 25 man squad for CL as PL. Can name the reserves if you want. Should we get past group stages- you can change the squad completely before the knockout stages (if you have enough players) as long as they haven't registered for anyone else. You also don't have to register youth U21 as long as they've been at the club a couple of years. Technically between fringe players, reserves/youth- we probably would have enough players to never use the senior squad if we wanted. Not that I'm really encouraging that... it is possible... What I really meant though- I'd give first priority to Premier League- CL/FA/COCup <--- Only play first team players if they're completely fit and not tired... rest key players if we have difficult PL game ahead.
F*ck it, buy 3 Top quality signings, then send the kids out in the CL. We will keep the advantage of the 1st XI not having to worry about Europe and will get in the top 4 again, poss win the league, and our kids will tear everyone in the CL a new one. #ibeleivethatchildrenarthefutureteachthemwellandletthemleadthewayshowthemallthebeautytheypossessinside
Only Flanagan really been any good out of those, Kelly seems injury prone. Montoya looks a good fit for us, possibly Moreno from Sevilla, both young flexibility in play.
He's changed his tune already...only two weeks ago he was saying he wanted six players, now it's quality over quantity - ie, we've got no chance of getting his targets, so you'll have to settle for two good ones and a weak bench.
maybe, if you look at our bench apart from either Coutinho or Sterling being on it the rest are just not good enough and can be replaced, what that means is the first team whoever plays in the replaced position then become the backup players, so we would have half a decent bench at least lol. as long as the 2-3 players are quality and not to replace anyone from our first team, i would be relativity happy with that.
Assuming the two players slot straight into the first team, (lets assume a LB and wide forward as priorities for Rodgers, although I would argue a CM over the forward) means that we'd only see Sterling or Coutinho on the bench. Enrique will be sold if anyone is interested, he won't recover from his injuries according to some sources going around the mill lately. A bench of Jones, Kelly, Wisdom, Ilori, Borini, Ibe and Sterling is alright for a cup game, but useless against good teams in the PL or Europe. Two quality signings really doesn't affect our bench/squad much if we sell as many players as we're reported to be trying to offload. We need both quality and quantity, unfortunately.
Well it won't necessary be a weak bench with Borini, suso, wisdom back. Better than Aspas, Alberto etc. None of us know what will happen. Given the last 2 summers I have to say not too hopeful but let's not criticise until we have reason to.
Two young players with limited experience and a forward who's had an ok season with a struggling PL team. I would exactly feel like those three coming on would be game changing right now. It's not criticising btw, it's discussing. I'm talking about concerns over our squad depth if we only manage one or two good signings and how our bench is barely improved.
