http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/hulls-steve-bruce-set-new-3480421 Now all he has to do is accept it.
Hm well the article says he's on a one-year rolling contract, which he's not as far as I know, so taking much more from that article is a bit hard.
Apparently he is in the last year of his original 3 year deal & will then go automatically onto the 1 year rolling contract unless City decide to offer him something better, which apparently they have.
Hm ok, not sure why we'd put him on a rolling contract, as that always reeks of clubs with short term vision. I'd want to see him on a three or four year deal.
A new 3-year contract for the best Manager we've ever had should be the Allam's #1 priority. I hate to think what could happen to the brilliant team spirit he's created if he moves on.
He was on a 3 year contract, the rolling was sensible to allow both sides to make a decision at the appropriate time. Short term vision in football management? I'm sure Moyes isn't all that impressed with the 6 year one he was given. This is and was the right approach, he's also in a position to negotiate, if he wants, a much better renewal for another period of time he is happy with.
It's a complete non story, someone has read the HDM interview and made up this cack. Not to say that he won't get offered one, I think it's pretty obvious he will (unless we don't win the cup) which makes that article even ****tier. What a ****ty bunch of ****s writing **** the mirror are.
The Allam's will be aware that we're not due much compo if he's only on a one year rolling deal and if he continues to do well with us, it's only a matter of time before other clubs come in for him. A new longer term deal is simply common sense and I'm sure it's being discussed.
Fingers crossed .... http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/fo...s-Steve-Bruce-happy-to-stay-at-the-KC-stadium
