One I watched recently which I didn't expect to be good was Rush - and I was very wrong. It's a brilliant film.

The original " Assault on precinct 13 " which I believe was John Carpenter's first film.

    Electraglide in blue.

    Usual suspects.

The Welsh accents may be terrible, I think just one of the cast (the boxer that loses his sight) is actually Welsh but the film's heart is in the right place and the ending is extremely moving but we are talking about Ford here, a true master and created some of my favourite movies; The Searchers, Grapes of Wrath, The Man who shot Liberty Valance to name but a few.

I tend to take my film viewing very seriously and a real passion of mine outside football, probably more so. A real love for Action, Horror, Crime, Westerns. Massive fan of Hong Kong cinema, an absolute nut on Shaw Bros, Goldern Harvest, etc As I've got older alot of modern Hollywood cinema is not very appealing though. One of the best films I have seen recently is an Israelie film called Big Bad Wolves. It really is awesome.

Very rarely mate - he is one of those guy's that is simply impossible to dislike. I mean what actor could play George Bailey nowadays? It would be impossible.

Stewart is like a John Candy - one of those actor's that I think most people love and wouldn't have a bad word to say about.

The Castle is a brilliant Aussie comedy from the 90s, a bit different from what everyone's suggesting but great nonetheless.

I'm a big fan of Aussie cinema - the crime genre is particularly amazing - Blue Murder is incredible. I haven't seen The Castle but Death in Brunswick is a really funny one with Sam Neil.

I'm surprised no-one has mentioned Blazing Saddles. You can't go wrong with Mel Brooks.

Ah... Vanishing Point, an absolute classic.

Back in the early 70's it was film night on Mondays at Blakelaw club, saw some fantastic films.

Lone Survivor was a brilliant film.

Just watched Snowpiercer as well, new film due out in the US shortly, got the critics copy off Knock-off Nigel, great film. Off the same bloke I got Tokarev, also worth a watch.

Worst film I've watched this year...Robocop.

Thought you were a Bud Abbott and Lou Costello fan Jim.

Didn't think you were old enough to go in the Blakelaw Club in the 70's.
