    I wonder how much more we can read out of this. Either that senior players didn't give a toss about Adkins being sacked, or he wasn't really that keen on sacking Pochettino if he was so easily convinced otherwise.

    I was told ages back by someone who claims to know one of the players that he thought Adkins was a bit... quirky. Not sure how reliable the guy is, but he told me that the player was never really sure about Adkins.. the players liked him and thought he was a decent guy, but doubted him tactically.

    Yep, that's about my opinion of him too. Great guy, great man-manager. Slightly suspect tactically, in my opinion, against some of the best.

    I wouldn't doubt this at all, however if true, Poch owes our Senior players to stay on with them and see things through, at least 'til the end of his current contract!

    Cortese never came across as someone who would do things on a whim and sacking Poch would certainly have been a knee jerk reaction to a couple of bad results when we were picking up injuries. Can't see it myself but then what do I know!
