Why start this thread just before the final and start conflict between fans again? He's a great owner end of. The trust between owner manager and players is fantastic! What have you neanderthal allam out morons got a problem with? He cant change the name anyway! get a grip.
A new owner could turn out to be our BEST owner ever , IF the Allams did sell up. Its strange how things can turn out sometimes
Okay, let's pretend AA didn't do an interview three days before our first FA Cup final, telling everyone he was pressing ahead with the name change. please log in to view this image
FTFY. I wonder what Hull Tiger Council make of it all. Opportunities lost all round. Sad and pointless really.
For me it's mostly the fact he has a total contempt for the fans. It's his club and he doesn't give a **** about us, until the team gets relegated and we become an important revenue stream again. We've never had an owner more distant and uninterested in the views of the fans. He even says as much in this interview, yet again. "I'm the boss, me me me."
He only said that because this is his new favorite song, I heard he listens to it upon waking and before bed. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fm660vIn8Tg
So we agree he's a disgraceful ****? Great. No need for any more crap arguments on the subject from you.
I am not saying ignore him or even forgive him. But we could have a worse owner and it isn't stupid to think it. Look at Vincent Tans effect on Cardiff are you really saying that his tenure is not worse. I find it baffling that there are supporters who disagree and protest against Assem Allam and yet still want to work in partnership with him via a Supporters Trust, but will they put up with his crap to achieve their aims? Assem Allam and his like will never see that they are wrong. In his interview comments he makes comparisons to the ethics of his Father. But in the western world financial wealth is placed above philanthropic giving. Wealth is venerated, society treats those with money as successful. Celebrity is placed higher than social success. The ideals that Assem Allam says he holds dear seem to get lost when he says that he knows best and no one can tell him different. Assem has lost the ability to see that a poorer man may be wiser. Its a real pity.
Of course the owner could be worse, but people far too often are suggesting we should be somehow grateful that there are worse owners out there. I'm not sure if Tan is worse though, the two are comparable. Both want to change stuff to satisfy their own need for power and dress it up as some bollocks about the far east, both prematurely and controversially sacked successful managers, both hold their club's fans in total contempt and seem to prefer not having any fans to having a fanbase that dislikes or disagrees with them, both have come out with nonsensical claims of prejudice. The only key difference is that Tan succeeded where Allam failed, thanks to the FA. In any case, there could always be a worse owner, but that isn't a reason to not want the current one out. The vast majority out there will be better than Allam.
Hull City owner Assem Allam still defiant over rebrand ahead of Tigers' FA Cup final with Arsenal at Wembley Blah, blah, blah........ http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...ers-FA-Cup-final-with-Arsenal-at-Wembley.html
The trouble with Allam, it seems to me, is that the lights are still on, but quite obviously there is no ****er in.
Olly ? Where's Stan? Comedy gold. Agreed he's a a great owner of Allam Marine. He doesn't have a clue about running a football club though unfortunately.
