Evening all, Are there any non-residents of East Yorkshire on here? I know of Macca but that's about it. Unfortunately, I reside in the wrong side of Yorkshire, West Yorkshire to be precise. My question is, what are your plans for travel on Saturday to Wembley? I have been eyeing train tickets for the past couple of weeks and they have never shyed of the £100 mark. I am just going to have to suck it up, but wondered how everyone else is getting down there. Where are people going prior to the game? Is Covent Garden the place to be?
My Dad and myself are doing train from Sheffield, first class. Just bobbed on National Rail and it's still only £53 return for standard. No major booze time before or after though.
I think people will be all over the place pre-match, those staying in the West End will be in Covent Garden, a lot are meeting near stations they can get to Wembley from(Baker St/Marylebone) and some are just doing Wembley.
Train from Durham, staying in Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden before and after; might get to Crystal Lounge - it was wonderfully mental at the Semi-final.
Hey man. I am desperate for travel however I havent found none. I reside in west Hull. Is the seat still free?
What decent boozers are there around covent garden, found one called the porterhouse on the saturday before the semi and watched Arse v Wigan but didnt see many other pubs, any suggestions ?
If you set off now, you should make it in time. It's not all that far, a thousand years ago armies used to march way further dressed in heavy metal armor and carrying all their weaponry etc.
