Given what Adams has said about maybe having to leave the club if he doesn't get the job, my impression is that he's already been told he's not getting it but there may be a chance as an assistant depending on who gets it.
Starting to get the feeling that the time is now for Lennon. Man with a point to prove. Money to spend. Favourites to go up. Links with DM. Knows how to get the best out if Hooper. Currently manages Snoddy's favourite team. The planets are aligning.
Can we really look at past performances in the CCC , elephant in room is the CH tore up this division with Newcastle maybe we should get him back lol
Lennon is a bastard, but some time that who you need in your corner, Hotly was a bastard and so was Lambert. It throws people off when they don't want to play you. Lennon is also fiercely defensive and loyal, he would never slag players off in public or question their ability, but you would know that were getting a proper bollocking behind the scenes. If he can in i reckon he would be extremely popular with the fans they would like seeing his passion and fire compered with Hughton's polite matter-of-factness. So I view people not liking him largely as a positive.
I think Mackay is a far safer bet for promotion than the neanderthal Lennon. Plus he strikes me as being a damn site smarter.

The one thing I liked about Hughton was his lack of jumping about and shouting, I prefer to see someone calm and in control of what is happening.
Would love to see Lennon in, i think he seems the most dynamic of managers on offer to me, he has passion, experience and the championship would be ideal for a step into the PL. Realistically if we get a big name (and i see Lennon as the most influential) we will have best chance of keeping the the team together and that might pursued some of the other top players to give it one more season. The tension is definitely building and the media are milking this get there ad revenue up but we dont have long to wait now, NL please DM
I'm certainly not saying he was that. I just prefer to see it from the manager, makes me feel they are not the stereotypical British manager.
And Paul Jewell as assistant! There would be blood on the walls if Roy and Mick were ever to meet again!
