For me the Shat. Legend! Seriously though. Gary Oldman has to be up there. Tom Hanks? Yes yes am sure there were many in history, Dave will vote Chaplin no doubt honestly I got no clue.
Gary Oldman's good. Daniel Day-Lewis has got to be a contender. Too many good actors, really. Hard to say.
i'll give it Vinny though, he's a far better actor than he ever was as a footballer, even if he was playing himself in these movies.
Michael Sheen. Top in Frost v Nixon and the Damned United. Quite good, in a different way, in Underworld.
Tom Hanks is my favourite, certainly one of the best. At the moment, Bryan Cranston is rightly receiving plaudits. A few more big roles and he could get an Oscar. Really likable too.
Billy Bob Thornton is better than people think. He was practically unrecognizable in Tombstone and Slingblade. But not greatest ever, obviously.
