Apparently NBC were showing a big Winter Olympics event directly before or after the game, so a lot of people were watching NBC because of that.

But still.... it means there are at least 1.24 enlightened Swans fans in the US, and exactly 0 Redbird fans (anywhere?)

Not a bad game for you guys to do well in then. Probably earned you a few foreign supporters.

One supporter is only 24% Swansea fan? <whistle>

And we'll take it in our stride thank you, what the yanks like is the underdog, and we are a small club run very well with no Arab oil money benefactor paying for our players, just good old little Swansea, mind I should imagine us being Welsh and not the arrogant Engerlish probably helps a fair bit too, I see there are plenty of Poms whinging comments at the bottom of the article!...........................<laugh>

He's a random bloke from Cwm Level's park, kept telling me about it but I laughed when he suggested they also had a national team.

I think if Rangers came out to Oz they would fill our Olympic Stadium (82,500), the same way Man Utd did last year

You'd know better than most but I suspect you're right , all those immigrants with Scottish (protestant ) ancestors ,there must be thousands out in Oz.

People everywhere know Swansea as a good football club who play attractive football. And I think especially Laudrup played a big part getting it out on such a global scale. I'm not sure there is this Swansea way of playing football, I just think Sousa, Martinez, Rodgers, Laudrup and Swansea City all like football played in a similar way. They all did great with the club, however I just feel the second season Swansea had to show they were made of. They had pressure now, a lot of new signings and expectations after what Brendan did in the previous season. Swansea played such great football, winning the cup, and it all left a big impression on the world I think. This season aswell, watching Swansea at Valencia against Napoli doing the premier League proud, big players like Wilfried Bony. Swansea a good football team!
