What got you this far in the cup? A Good draw and some luck. What would winning the FA Cup do for Hull? Final put the city on the footballing map What player/position is your weakest? Full Backs, Either it's a winger at right back and a right back at left back or Figueroa at left back What tactics are you likely to employ against Arsenal? In your face and high pressure Which Arsenal player would you like and why? Walcott Everything we miss really. Which player/position do you feel is our weakest? Centre Backs What is your prediction for the match? 1-0 City
The trouble with this line up is both Rosie and Meyler are naturally right footed so usually have to turn inside and play the ball square or backwards which restricts our attacking options of going down the line and getting decent crosses into the box to create chances. A manager of Wengers experience will have spotted this from tapes he has watched which will make it easier for them to defend against us.
It's a good point and there's a strong argument on that basis for playing Boyd or Quinn instead of Meyler but I'd be very surprised if he does even if he does opt for that type of system. The other possibility, although extremely doubtful, would be if Chester made it but then I'd still favour Rosie over Figueroa at left back on current form!
i still think the world cup in a few weeks could be a factor . Just like city players had one eye on the FA cup final and our performance dropped off , so too could be said for the Arsenal players not wanting to risk injury for Brazil . We have to scare them into not wanting to keep on the ball - hit em hard
4-5-1 and keep the game tight for an hour. If we can do that then Arsenal and there fans will get very edgy and that is when we should go after them. Let them have the ball in there own half and keep them to the wide areas. Plug up the middle and keep Ramsey in check. Ramsey is the key for me. If Ramsey is allowed to do what he did @ the KC a few weeks ago then we are in trouble.
I just hope Bruce tells the lads to get in their faces from the kick off as we did at the KC. They looked very unsettled under pressure. Once we sit back and try to soak up pressure creative players like Ramsey, Ozil, Arteta can give us lots of trouble. And bloody Podolski and Giroud can be lethal if they get half a chance. I think Wenger will start with the team he put out at Norwich...and they didn't score till the 53rd minute.
My main concern is Alex Bruce starting. Shockingly, in the last 19 games where he has featured in the starting line-up, we've only won once (Cardiff away 0-4) The game he started before this run however was his infamous 3-1 job on Suarez.
I feel our best if not only chance is to really make Saturdays contest a physical battle. 5 in midfield, McShane and Bruce to start, Sagbo up front on his own. Super sub Fryatt to score the only goal of the game late on!
