Not sure that's true - he's stated he wants to stay so he's obviously happy - I watched him 5 times and twice he played well - the other 3 he was terrible (before the run in) - how exactly was it the club or managers fault? He has played exceptionally well coming off the bench and I think he'll replace Borini in the side next season but I don;t think we could've done anything differently in our situation
We sold him a vision that didn't nearly transpire. We missold to him and have managed to help demote him from one of Italy's star men to a forgotten man. He'd have been better off playing a starring (if bit part) at Juve. I feel for him. He wants to stay because he's a model pro, regardless of that he's missed out on a world cup which is a real ****ing shame.
I do agree but I certainly don't think Poyet was to blame. We don;t know if he'd have gone to the world cup playing every week as, when he started, he was very inconsistent - flashes of brilliances mixed with poor performances - much like Sessegnon. His recent performances have been brilliant and I agree, to some extent "the club" (more the Di-twins) sold him a vision which never looked likely to come to fruition - but if he starts next season like he finished this one and puts in 4 out of every 5 like that then he will be back in the italy squad (the reason I say 4 out of 5 is because Wingers are rarely a 5 out of 5 performer!)
