never made a comment like that this season. With no expectation, no pressure, one game a week for half of the season - you coughed up the title. Next season - wee bit more pressure, hell lot of expectation, champions league to boot - with no reinforcements from Henry & Co - you would be lucky to get Moanu's pts and position.
Why wouldn't we get any money? I disagree with all this nonsense about playing less games but we'll see I suppose.
Because you only made FFP this season due to not being eligible for assessment... due to not playing European football. You will be assessed now and cannot spend as much as you want http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...ed-Uefas-Financial-Fair-Play-regulations.html http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/mar/05/liverpool-champions-league-financial-fair-play
Wrong. http://www.financialfairplay.co.uk We can easily cover the deficit with last seasons income from media coverage imcome and league finishing place money. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...p-of-the-Premier-League...-earners-table.html We're ok to strengthen this summer unless you have a real valid reason we can't.
Not saying you can't spend. But not as much as Champions League clubs from 2011-14 who earned big bucks. I quote your source: "However, I should point out that to pass FFP, Liverpool’s owner will still need to inject hard cash to cover losses made over the three seasons. For Liverpool, this means the owner needs to put his hand in his pocket and inject around £44m by 31 December 2014. This can’t be done via a loan and if he doesn’t do this, Liverpool could well face a UEFA ban in 2015/16."aou Sure you will find a way around it. I just doubt you have enough money to build a squad to challenge for CL and Premiership without flouting FFP. What do you need ..£150m??? Also think you lack mental strength in big games, a bit like Arsenal
But you base your prediction on things you have no proof of, in other words you hope we can't compete in the transfer market this summer. Two completely different things.
Stop being paranoid. You can compete in the transfer market and will...but due to your financial problems, lack of European football and FFP, you can't strengthen enough to challenge for the league and CL, like Chelsea and City can. City's squad in particular is much stronger than yours. Ours needs strikers like you need defenders, but we are closer to a competitive squad on multiple fronts than you are, on paper at least. Also, we make more revenue than you, so we can spend more under FFP rules: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deloitte_Football_Money_League#2012.E2.80.9313 We made CL's semis this season, so will make a lot more than you 2013/14 too
No he is stating that in his opinion it will cost £150m to bring your squad up the standard required to challenge on all fronts (I think thats a bit much myself), and that total coupled with the £44m your owner will need to loan to balance the books means a spend of nearly £200m. And he doubts Liverpool's owners will want to spend that much. It all depends on who you sign and for how much. I cannot see Liverpool making BIG signings or competing for big names at the moment but there might be some decent players who are unknown going relatively cheap. The World cup usually unearths a few gems
Paranoid, ffs. We can't compete against Chelsea and City in the transfer market due to both of those clubs owners having a spending policy that puts other English clubs in the shade, that's the way things are and we accept that and compete as best we can.
Fair play, but you make less revenue too. But should catch us up soon. You spunked £120m under King Kenny when you did not earn it http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deloitt...012.E2.80.9313
