I was thinking similar but more for the "I would rather have one or two absolute top players than seven that might not help us" comment. I couldn't give a **** about the timing so long as its before the start of the season.
The Northern Irishman added: "Ideally you would want to get things done beforehand but it is difficult because transfers are so complex. "The World Cup does make it difficult but the club and ourselves have been preparing for quite a few months now so we will try and get the business done as early as we can." willing to bet august is when we end up buying
not australian ones. theirs are north facing thus cold and dank... no matter that summer bay and neighours would have you beleive. we only need look at kylie minogeoge to know this #can'tkeepaman
By the way, can anyone tell me why Mascherano would love to come back to Liverpool when his wife apparently hates England?
Someone on the Saints board mentions that something like £20m plus Borini may be a good deal for Lallana, what do you guys think? Lallana is clearly the better player when compared to Borini but should we really get rid of one player for another when their stats are very similar. Personally I'd keep Borini, he could do a job coming off the bench and we need squad depth, especially for CL.
It is, I admit, a lot of money. However, remember that Man Utd paid crazy money for Rio Ferdinand way back when, and that turned out to be a pretty good purchase in the long run.
How old was Rio when he signed? I can imagine that, barring any horrible injuries or flukes, at 18 he will be the starting left back for 15 solid years (25 for United, they like to push playing until the half century over there).
£20m + Borini? Are they having a laugh? Lallana isn't even worth £20m on his own. Borini will provide solid back up next season which is what we need. Re. William Carvalho - one of the best talents in Europe.
