Four hours on a cross channel ferry and I am bored stiff. Cannot wait to get off of it even if it is Newhaven.
On Friday I will be going on holiday. I will not be talking to or even be thinking about telecoms girls. Mind you one company I worked for had one with a very sexy voice, but in reality was in her sixties and three stone overweight. Last year I was away for the play off final and gave up trying to get a signal on my phone. Probably spared an unfortunate afternoon. This year I will not even try to find out what is going on.
Good morning all from a clear and warm Weston-super-Mare! Summer has arrived, I hope she bide's a while! Have a good day!
Large cruise ships should not be allowed near the Galapagos, too many people and probably not very sympathetic to the wonder they are visiting. Perhaps we should start a Galapagos or travel thread to record our experiences both good and bad?
Nearly evertime I start up my pc AVG free does an update and renders it unusable for the duration. Anyone else experience this? Any suggestions? My pc is getting on a bit.
Scully - Go into AVG and disable the auto-update function and just remember to update it regularly to maintain virus protection.

I did have one problem with AVG for when I installed the program the Norton anti-virus attacked until I switched Norton off. The processing was all anti-vius programs fighting. The good thing I think of using small companies is the internet virus vandals only attack Norton and McAfee because they are big and easy targets.
I'll give a go, tx. Once a week enough? Iwas considering changing from avg. Should I? To what? Time for an IT thread?
Probably - I'm having the devil's own job with McAfee. It's part of BT's package & I'm thinking of ditching it. I keep getting a warning message that my PC is at risk - the real-time scanning doesn't seem to like starting up. I've followed all their words of wisdom - uninstalled/reinstalled it five times so far & still it happens....
