    Morning Everyone,

    The Cull starts today!!!

We should hear later on today who will stay and who will go.

The players who have / are in the process of leaving are :-

    Green

    Ashdown

Peltier (as he has been taken off the OS)

    Diouf.

There are questions marks over Kenny, Lees, Warnock, Zeliukas, Pugh, Brown, Lenighan (Court case), Brown, Tonge, White, Hunt and Poleon.

Do we need a clean sweep, and start more or less from scratch?

Cellino called called his lawyers in from London to review the club’s operating costs and help bring under control a situation described by him as “unbelievable, impossible.”

Cellino spoke briefly to the YEP about the situation at Elland Road on Monday night, saying: “We have serious problems but we are fixing them.

“Some of what happens here is unbelievable, impossible, but I must sort it out.”

Asked about plans for widespread redundancies, Italian businessman Cellino said: “I don’t sack staff who want to work with me and who do what they’re paid to do.”

McCormack may have had a sly dig at Cellino in a tweet he posted late last night.

Morning ... all out of contracts should go, we don't need them and they won't improve us ... sign young Taylor up, we are crying out for a good left back ... cost cutting was always on the cards, key thing is Cellino balances the books and we can then start investing our revenues in the team and not the owners ... McCormack sometimes tries too hard to be a comic

    Morning Billy,

Cannot believe our running costs are £100,000 a day. I'd love to see the books. I'd love to see Dawson and Taylor breaking through

Morning all. Situation not good but it looks like we've an owner willing to sort it. I wonder, how far back have we to go to discover the last season we actually operated in profit? Did we ever? What a bunch of gobshites we've been blessed with. Bit of a daft tweet by Ross. If he's so interested in training for the Scotland team, surely some team north of the border has facilities he could use for a couple of weeks. Can't believe there isn't a patch of grass somewhere around Leeds either he could use

I don't think we will start hearing today who is going etc mate, I believe MC is busy today in further meetings discussing the financial and legal position but he did say on Monday he wanted to meet with all the players and BMcD as soon as they were all back from holiday?

Morning all. Taylor's been offered and reportedly signed an extension. Not sure of the situation ref Dawson. But again, we need to get him signed up.

Green, Ashdown, Peltier, & Diouf can all go, as can Kenny, Lenighan,Tonge, & Hunt. Poleon & White we should retain because of White's pace and Poleon is a work in progress. With regard to Lees, Warnock, Zeliukas, Pugh, and Brown, I think it depends on how many Cellino is going to allow BMD to bring in. Warnock may go now that Taylor's signed an extension and Pugh can cover at LB to add a bit of experience. Brown has to stay for another year unless we've got a tough tackling DM lined up. On Lees and Zaliukas, again it depends on who might be coming in and how many CBs BMD feels he needs.

That is a good call, costs something like £12k a week to run it, so more or less a weeks wages.

Disappointed in McCormack's comment, the club has to cut it's cloth accordingly even though pampered footballers can carry on with their lavish lifestyle.

It may also sound a little harsh but why should Ross' Scotland training bother Leeds or MC? They're not in the WC anyway and if Ross is that bothered then he should go north of the border earlier and use the Scotland national team's training facilities.

Leeds season is over and until the pre-season training starts then this is Ross' and Scotland's problem!
