I am wondering if Massimo Cellino is the owner that the Leeds fans think he is. It seemed that the sale of his Italian club was required in part to purchase Leeds and that sale seems to have stalled. He stated that he would buy back the ground and training facilities as soon as he took over, but has put that on hold. He is having to settle debts to prevent winding up orders going to court and the 'bank' that still own 25% of the club seem to have borrowed money from all and sundry that will have to be repaid. He is talking about cutting costs and it remains to be seen how he will tackle players who have ongoing contracts at £20,000 pw. The manager still has two years on his contract and if he were removed it would cost £1.5M, plus costs for his staff.
If it is not one bit of news with some clubs then something else comes along. http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-leeds-27333835
KA - VÃkingur ÃlafsvÃk 2:3 (0:0) KA were losing 0:3 with 85.mÃn. played. Gunnar Ãrvar Stefánsson scored at 85.mÃn. and Arsenij Buinickij at 89.mÃn. made the defeat easier. KA are in 7.seat of 14. Attendance was 486.
England squad announced - some exciting young names who will go wanting to impresses and play well. Shame we've got such a tough group as I am not sure we will get through but why not give the kids a go. They will have confidence and form which hasn't always been the case in the past with players picked.
Bye Bye Tim Not good enough http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27389072 What a crazy game....... There are only so many top 4 places.... 4, in fact..... and Spurs were never going to get one this season
He was never going to get the job on a permanent basis - unless he took Spurs into the Champions League which as you say was unlikely. They probably should have beaten Everton for 5th spot though. A paper I saw yesterday showed his win percentage in 22 games was over 59% - better than AVB, Redknapp and Martin Jol. Spurs will keep changing managers till they get Champions League football - which probably means for ever
Some of the press reports suggest that there is more to it. It appears that he has a very abrasive style which has ruffled feathers.
Blimey, that is going a bit far:- https://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/blog...r-hung-outside-owner-home-west-171231662.html
