The results have been published, yay! http://www.portsmouthfc.co.uk/documents/pfc-survey-report-march-2014-v1.0-1522-1547757.pdf A rather interesting read, good to see most people agree that in terms of redeveloping the stadium the North Stand should be the priority. I don't think pursuing safe standing should be a high priority tbh, I think there's other more important things. And I don't find it that surprising that people in North Upper have the most negative view on the PA system (because the acoustics up there are terrible!)
A drummer who can actually play the drums wouldn't be so bad - but whoever the drummer is at the moment........ he needs to have his drum kit taken away.
Whatever happened to the good old rattle ? at least with that you could circle it for only so long before your wrist fell off bloody drums you can play for 90 minutes - bah humbug.
PA system notwithstanding, they need to get a couple of decent announcers - one with a deeper voice and who doesn't shout all the time. Assuming the plan to turn the stadium is now consigned to the history books (which is becoming quite a weighty tome for our various stadium plans, by the way) is:- North Stand - really needs a complete rebuild with a row of executive boxes and a hospitality area where the upper tier is now, then a new upper tier above them and a new canteliever roof over the whole stand. that would probably provide an additional 5,000 to 8,000 seats, depending on how far you take it back. Milton End - this cannot really go any higher than the current structure but if a proper single tier stand was built, with concourses etc, this could possibly add about 1,000 seats. South Stand - this is a Leach stand so I would like to see this reverted back to its original form, with the three rows put in in the 1990s removed and the old latice work reinstalled - this would lose about 1,000 seats. Fratton End - leave as it is until we need the extra capacity, at which time we could add another tier. That would probably give us a 25,000 to 26,000 seat stadium that would retain the couldron of sound atmosphere, with potential to increase it up to around 32,000 when required. I personally don't think we will need any more than that kind of capacity but if we ever did then we would have to move. Now all we need is the funds to do it. Hello, Mr Tesco - not a chance.
I think there should be more instruments! Opening game of next season, they should provide a Portsmouth vuvuzela for each seat!
