A complete and utter disgrace that the PL or the FA did nothing to mark this tragedy last weekend, but some Arsenal fans are trying to drum up some support to show our respects in the Cup final next week, by having a minutes applause on the 56th minute. Hopefully, both sets of fans can show our respects by doing this. Any idea why the FA or PL completely ignored this last week?
No idea, it was a tragedy of such horrific proportions. I remember watching it on the TV and the poor commentator just didn't know what to say. One minute it had gone from Bradford fans celebrating on the pitch and within minutes the whole stand was engulfed in flames. There were some serious flaws in safety at that old ground and exit gates locked prevented people escaping. Terrible day for football. I can't understand why the FA have totally ignored it.

IF this happens, this will be very greatful on behalf of ALL Lincoln fans, and Bradford fans!! Please make this happen.. i would literally have shivers running down my spine!!

The footballing authorities have never marked the tragedy before so why would people be shocked.? I'm not trying to be funny Jack,I just find it strange that an Arsenal supporters group should all of a sudden decide to remember a tragedy.
Better late than never. We got a platform on Saturday and hopefully both sets of fans use it to pay our respect.
Couldn't agree more Part of me sort of agrees with you but the other part thinks the Munich disaster is remembered although that was the actual players so slightly different.
Fans get a platform every year matey,they just choose not to use it. Rather than applauding after 56 minutes I think it would be better to have a minutes silence before the game

The problem with the 56 minutes is that if one of the team's scores just beforehand the applause for Bradford will be forgotten.
Someone put a real time 7 minute video of the whole event from flickering flame to the stand being gone. It's still jaw dropping after all these years. standing applause will be fully supported by us.
