    But that's football all over isn't it? Southampton had pots of money compared to other clubs when they were a big club in league 1, waved a load of money at Bristol Rovers for Lambert, I expect that got up the Rovers fan's collective goats at the time.

    That is very true...At least it was only one player. While the likes of Spurs, United and Liverpool want to strip us of all our assets.

    Yeah it's true. Although the same happened to us in the opposite direction (Alex O-C)...and I guess we still do that to clubs below (Clyne/J Rod). It's a bit of a food chain, the trick is just making the best out of it.

    As I see it, if we let Lallana and Shaw go, Poch goes too, if Poch goes Shaw and Lallana will leave too, if they all stay, none of them will go, thats my option if asked.

    not giving any judgement of their merits in a southampton kit, but the burnley fans i know were relatively cheerful about fox and thomas.

    Its true what you say. But, isn't that exactly what is wrong with English football?

    All season, everyone has been praising our model and saying it is the way forward for all clubs, and yet the most exciting team in Saints history is potentially on the verge of being broken up by richer clubs who can't be bothered to produce their own talent.

    Look at the Man Utd era of Giggs, Beckham etc., that only happened because it was Man Utd and there was nowhere bigger for them to go at that time. Any other team and they would have been scattered to the 4 winds.

    For some clubs, selling on players is essential for their survival, I recognise that but that doesn't make it right.

    I'm still hoping against hope that they will all give us one more season.
