Okay he's only one of the seven standby players... but delighted for him all the same. Finally the recognition he deserves.

Now, anyone feel like getting an injury? (I feel bad for saying that)

strange feeling. glad he's no longer completely overlooked, a little bit sad it's not likely to mean much this summer.

is this going to affect his holiday or can standby players carry on as they were?

Deschamps says the 7 standby players are to report to the training base with the rest of the squad in a couple of days time, until May the 28th.

Should have got his shot much earlier as I think on level of play he easily deserves to be ahead of Mavuba and Sissoko but obviously they are more established players, but considering he hasn't even got a call-up to get onto the standby list is excellent and shows he should be in their plans going forwards and will get his chance, just a shame for him he'll likely miss out this time around.

A lot of people going on about Belgium as the dark horses, think too many people are writing off France. Quality squad.

P.S. Sissoko should be nowhere near the squad compared to Morgan

Yes, he fell out with Deschamps. To be fair, Nasri has been disruptive with France in the past (then again, it seems most of them have!)

gonalons rings a bell as someone who schneiderlin was supposed to struggle to get ahead of in the pecking order. no idea if that was justified.

They have always had undoubted quality; they just self implode.

I am delighted for Morgan and in a very selfish way, it is better for us that he may not go... he'll be raring to go come August not having played a World Cup, but be keen to impress ready for the new campaign (do they have to qualify for Euro 16 or not?)

Well deserved Morgan. Tough with Pogba and Cabaye in the team, but hopefully he can force his way into future squads and at least it will show he doesn't have to leave to further his chances

No they don't, but they're going to be taking part in the qualifying campaign anyway (yeah, don't ask me).
