It's a strange City that's for sure. To much division and resentment kicking about between clubs owners, city council /football fans hating rugby/rugby fans hating football/plastic premier league fans resenting our success. I also know quite a few who went to play off final who simply can't be Arsed to get off their backside and go to Wembley. The buzz just isn't there let's hope it changes in the next few days
We live in a city that has a North Korean media that feeds them the line that Hull v Dewsbury is 'massive', that 2,903 people at Salford v Rovers generate a better atmosphere than 25,000 at City v Everton and where many kids have been raised in a household with a dole-claiming LFC 'fan' as nominal head. Years of healing still ahead as thousands of the abused get a reality check.
I don't buy into the Rugby/Football media paranoia myself. But LFC former glory hunters toss pots from the 80s forcing their plastic ways onto their kids is to much of a scourge in this City. Love it when they fall flat on their faces
The fightback has started at Sidmouth Primary with a visit of the FA Cup, who do you want to win, Hull City. Kids go home, Dad why do you support Liverpool? Grandad why do you support Liverpool?
Even better "Dad, why do you support the vermin when they're in a lower division than City? In fact how come you support them at all, did we used to come from Leeds?"
Let's hope so. I was at Kingswood school the other Saturday and was watching some under 9/10 s training. 7 out of 11 of them had City gear on which was good to see
Take a young family member to city games with you next season....a brother , sister , nephew , niece , cousin etc.
It is there. I'm listening to Burnsie and Ashbee talk at the moment. People who blame what has happened re the name change are right. What an almighty **** up he has made of this. I cannot wait for him to leave. It is still there.
When someone regurgitates so much bile it is hard to give them real credence. Honesty, sincerity and tolerance are not your calling cards, just your own manufactured ego. You can argue your corner, but so could Hitler. You bear watching.
I'm sick of seeing 'plastics' in Hull all the time. What sad, pathetic excuses for human beings they are. One kid at college - Hull born and bred/Liverpool 'fan' - said he wants Arsenal to turn over City at Wembley. An anagram of a great Danish king comes to mind.
