Next season will be the decider, Hughes V Pullis, second season with a new club will show who is the worthy champion.
The rumours of Pochettino reek of Levy trying to copy what Liverpool have done, by appointing a PL experienced manager that plays good football and has had reasonable success at a small club, maybe Levy feels Poch could have a similar affect on Spurs as Rodgers has at Liverpool. For some reason I do not have the greatest feeling for Pochettino, I would prefer FDB or Benitez, or a manager with a track record of winning things.
Precisely why I think Poch is his #1 choice (if he accepts an offer of course). The only difference being is Levy won't back him like Pool did and will be frustrated with being given players he didn't target.
Phil McNumpty has written a piece on Levy http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27390680 That article could have been written by FlaSpur or any number of posters on here who have turned on Levy.
nope...they are still a bunch of donkey hoofing clogger ****ers who enjoy injuring opposition players...and hardly surprising considering he was a complete **** as a player
Haha, thanks chap. I'll take that as a compliment of sorts. "Turned on Levy"...? You make me sound traitorous!
I do wonder about our fans sometimes. Get rid of Levy, get rid of Baldini. Get Levy to spend millions on the squad or he's not committed. We need to get rid of these deadwood players but we don't want to bring in too many. What on earth do we want? (I still maintain that most of the summer 7 will be successful at the club if given time/playing in the right system).
I agree with you far too many judgements are being made on players who have had to play in a chop and change manner while being unused to the conditions in the PL. I hope we keep most of them and that a new manager can bring stabilty, authority and not forgetting excitement.
We don't want to get rid of Levy, we just need to educate him. He's looking for instant success which is very rare and even if we do find a coach who'll win us something in his first season he'll have to maintain it so more pressure on him. Chelsea have changed coaches from winning positions whereas we haven't had a winning position so I hope Levy isn't trying to do a Chelsea. He can't keep changing coaches like this because it will deter the top names from coming and we need a top name. AVB and Sherwood were never right for the job.
Based on the Spurs prediction leagues, Rebelspur and PNP seem to know more about Spurs than anyone else, perhaps they should be appointed Manager & Assistant. Notwithstanding that, we should start a 'Say No to Moyes' movement together with a 'Pocch out before he is in' campaign.
Maybe Dawson should get promoted from captain to manager. After all if Ryan Giggs achieve a 50% win record, Dawson should be able get about 75%.
