Do you think us saying he's not for sale is good news in terms of Pochettino's future with the club as well? Or am I reading too much into it?

 

I don't think it takes a genius to work out that it's much better than saying, hell yeah, what am I bid..? Supporters want surity, and although it may come as a surprise to one or two, so do employees.

Selling JRod would be a step too far. Lallana..he's at an age when he would think of a move; Shaw...very good money for a LB. Selling JRod....we are facing a struggle.

If we can get £20 million for Lallana, and £27 million for Shaw. I would bite your hand off. Shaw is good but not worth £27 million. Lallana had an incredible year but he had a pretty bog-standard 1st season. I'd 100% rather have a £27 million striker over a LB!

I'm sorry but that is just laughable.

 

Lets forget that it was his first season at this level. Lets forget that he had an injury in that season. Lets forget that last season we brought in a 'superstar' to supposedly play in the role Lallana excelled at this season!!!!

People say Ramirez needed time to adapt, Osvaldo who is a seasoned pro and used to the top leagues and Internationals couldn't do it. Lallana was better than both last season even if it wasn't his best and has been far superior to both this season. He will only get better.

 

£27million for Shaw isn't bad, I agree, but from what you have said about Lallana, leaves me thinking you really don't have a clue!

 

If you can show me where KL is promising to go out with the proceeds of any sales and buy us a world class striker, you may have a point.

 

I'm not 100% that he'll get better elsewhere actually, as I think the fit is good here, but then I guess in his position you have to back your own talent.

 

It is when United spend the same amount on Fellaini!

 

Which £27 million striker is there out there that would come to us?

The known quantity is always better for me, for example if we were to use the £27m pounds from Shaw to swap in a striker and an attacking mid like say, Osvaldo and Ramirez who cost about that put together, would that make the team stronger? Not even close. It's very comparable to the Spurs situation where in theory the money they got for Bale should have put them in a fantastic position, but in the end as crazy as the money was they actually would have been better keeping him. I saw a fantastic quote on reddit the other day posted by a fan of another team 'A Lallana in the hand is worth two Eric Lamelas in the bush', and I quite agree.
