The other thing is that players like Lallana know they only have five seasons at their best. Pochettino is 42, he can manage for years and years if he wants. There's no pressure to take a potentially risky move, and throw away the stability he has here that almost any manager in England would envy. If the right words come out from his Kruger and Liebherr discussions (and there's no reason why they wouldn't), I'm completely confident he'll stay.

Of course he will. We were always his stepping stone into the premier league and will leave as soon as a top 6 offer comes in. Don't believe there is any loyalty there.

    Sorry to be the realist.

That's not realism. Most people have at least some loyalty to the company they work for. I mean I don't, but still.

More like a bit of old fashioned Saints' fans neurosis and inferiority complex.

has david moyes taught us nothing?

i get the impression pochettino would choose and time his career moves more carefully than simply "top 6 yay"

If someone offered you a ~50% payrise at a bigger, better and european company you'd say no out of loyalty to yours?

<laugh> I believe the expression is "get my goat", as in "it does get my goat a tad". But actually you've improved on it. Though I'm not sure the goat would agree.

I think he associates himself with the area and is obviously a Catalan at heart which would mean Real Madrid would be the least likely team he would manage.
