Yes so true, should be getting rather heavy all that debt by now, it's sure going to make it difficult for them to get back up to the Premier league with all that Debt on their backs £150 Million and rising, and they haven't accounted for this season yet, what's the bet it will hit £200 Million any time soon?.....................<laugh>

I see the Porthcawl pensioner is getting all arsey, clearly they do not like it up em!.................<cheers>

Believe me, if manky and his mate were banged to rights there would have been no long term waiting before a decision being made, tan would have sacked him straight away and even called the police and done him for fraud!

It would not have made any sense to keep the malky situation running any longer than it needed, he paid them some cash with the previso that he could lay blame to save face.

If he could have saved face when he releived manky of his duties he would have done so then not now!

I can't believe some Cardiff fans are so thick! They be telling us they're debt free next...oh wait a minute..<laugh>

    Spot on Norway <applause>

In particular, your last line is particularly accurate. Narrowing it down, the first sentence. <laugh>

"he could lay blame to save face"

Having worked/lived in South East Asia, I can vouch for the fact that keeping/saving face is of paramount importance, especially amongst men.

Anyone who underestimates Tan is an utter fool and / or an out and out racist.
You do not become BILLIONAIRE in business without being an exceptional person, possibly genius, almost certainly ruthless.

The mistake Cardiff fans make / made was to believe he bought the club because he was impressed by Cardiff City.
The purchase would have been for one or a mixture of
1 - make money (long term, buy cheap invest the benefits or cash in)
2 - impress his political friends in Malaya by using a world brand (Premier League) for essentially free advertising
3 - satisfy his ego by owning a concern that has the potential to provide international kudos
4 - club in financial crisis offered easy pickings

The choice for Cardiff is stark, take whatever scraps VT is prepared to give and be grateful; or persuade him to leave and go to wall.
And always remember he paid for your 'day out' when you joined Swansea in in the Premier League

Come on now Bob! Tan a genius? now that's comedy gold mate, it's probably more like he was at the right place at the right time, with the right people, add a touch of greed and ruthlessness and that's probably more closer to the truth, the guy is a numpty, like most at the top, mind he's at the right club now!...............<laugh>

Would an actual genius actually believe any colour is actually lucky. Or is he playing all the chumps that believe it? <laugh>

Either way, he's been good entertainment value for us.

I see you're all still clinging to the party line then - Tan is the anti-christ, and Malky was crucified......<laugh>

All hypothetical opinions, and everyone believes what they want. No problem guys - keep taking the tabloids and enjoy it while you can.....<laugh>

Talk to someone who gives a flying **** what you think :) No offence. Note to oldsparkey: putting laugh smileys after comments doesn't make them funny so please take that advice in the spirit intended. <ok>

Bob, lot of truth in what you say. But Tan's record is one of buying businesses he knows nothing about (pharma chains being another) then getting people who know a little bit more than him about the business to run them. I disagree with Phill in that he's not thick, far from it but has moved from another culture where he is used to getting his own way and remains largely unchallenged in his everyday life.

I read some pieces from the English Malaysian press a while back and he's regarded by many there as a corrupt friend of a corrupt Government in a corrupt system. He was given the lottery without tender. Yes, GIVEN it, and that speaks volumes because although many Malaysians were not happy it was pushed through anyway. Many think the payback was him putting the name of their country on Cardiff's shirts but that's just some people's opinion.

I'd be mortified if he owned the Swans, money or not, yet you still get silly twonks like oldsparkey who threaten outsiders to their board with a ban if they 'provoke' their fans with anti-Tan comments. This has happened again very recently I understand. I've been told that I should only post 'complementary' comments on their board. <laugh> Yes, that's funny so the smiley is warranted.

My view is that yet again they've jumped into bed with the devil and whereas they may or may not have had little choice in the matter he now well and truly has them by the short n curlies. Oh dear, how sad never mind.

    That deserves another <laugh>

You're not learning mate. Look, here's some pointers:

    <ok> = OK
    :) = Smile
    <laugh> = Funny

You'll need to get your head around that before going back on the Championship boards. In the meantime, I came across this little ditty the other day and immediately thought of you. Think of it as a parting gift.
