WA3: Unlucky plucky Liverpools

    One of the things that I love most in sport is when an outsider, underdog or the ‘little team’ do so well in either the league or a cup competition and that, of course, happened this term with Liverpools in the Premier League. It was so wonderful to watch a mid ranking side go so close and really have a real go at winning the big prize. Ultimately, you didn’t do it and it was a case of ‘close, but no cigar’ but let me say that I admire the pluck you have shown in going close.

    Next season it will be back to normal for Liverpools and you will finish sandwiched, as normal, between Aston Villa and Hull but on a mighty fine effort in 2013/14 let me say well done, plucky Liverpools and I applaud you.
