pulis... not an f'n chance! he bought a few players and had all year.

f sake i agree if the current trend is to give this to no hopers and avoid giving it to the title winner as was the case then Poyet getting to the league cup final and carrying off a miracle espace in the end after the club was nearly ruined by di canio's madness is a bigger achievement.

remember that palace changed manager quite early and ended up on a whole mighty 45 points, the same tally stoke sacked the guy last year with... -15 GD.... goals For 33, a lousy 33 goals in 38 games? manager of the year my eye.

yeah.... pretty ridiculous and it'll end in tears at selhurst park in short order

I can't stand the bloke but to totally dismiss what he did with CP this year is petty - he did a very good job, maybe Poyet should have been recognised for the great escape but Sunderland didn't win a game in nearly a 2 month period between Feb & April so manager of the year would have been a bit shocking imo.

I think with Pulis in charge Palace will be staying in the top flight for a while too.

    Completely agree.

His record at Palace is outstanding to be honest.

did Gus even get a look in? not knocking what Pullis done, as without him palace would have more than likely gone down, but didn't Gus get Sunderland who was bottom at xmas to survival that's never been done?

or i got the wrong team lol.

This is what happens when Fergie isn't forced to have at least 90 minutes a week when he can't guzzle the booze

The difference being, that Sunderland were an established PL side and given their resources were massively under performing under the crazy Di Canio

Palace had never lasted more than a season in the PL and looked doomed when Pulis arrived, and he steered them to mid table and they didn't even flirt with relegation. It was a brilliant turnaround.

Poyet kept Sunderland in the bottom 3 and escaped due to 3 great results againt City, United and Chelsea, those games aside they were largely mince.

    <laugh> nice one mate.

Well done BR, although it's an award I really don't care much about. Can't stand Pulis, I like Poyet and again don't really have much interest in the PL manager award either.

Rodgers deserves it. That was 'corner turning' at a majestic level.
