Maybe. They've both done fantastic jobs. We were in a mess two years ago and Pearson turned us into winners. Burnley had to rebuild after relegation from the Prem and have almost a completely new squad. Both bosses managed to sign and develop a quality striker from nowhere at a mere cost of £1m. Burnley did it on a budget (the sales of Jay Rodriguez and Charlie Austin mean they've actually made money the last two seasons), but we've also had to do it while downscaling our squad, which could have had a negative effect on the squad but actually helped. There's nothing in it, so likely Pearson got it simply because we won the league. Congrats Nige.
Nigel more then deserves the award im not taking anything away from him Just compared to Dyche he has had longer and has been backed finacially over a period of time
Nigel won the league so deserves the award, I don't care about the cost of our squad compared to Burnley, they came second AND we had a better cup run, so there!
Well done and well deserved Nige. I agree that Dyche has also done a great job at Burnley but this year could've gone either way for us, fortunately it was the storm the league option. NP & management deserve much credit for that.
The "of the year" awards are mainly going to goto the manager at the top of the league. Even Kenny Jackett got it, well half of it, and they were more than expected to walk it.
The manager who wins the division is the best manager in that division, no question about it. Well done Nigel, thoroughly deserved.
