Pepe Mel sacked by WBA. It's been a busy season for managerial sackings in the P.L. So, who is next? Allardyce is looking susceptible at WHU.
Allardyce is always looking susceptible! The problem is, when the club's ambition outstrips realistic targets we end up with this incessant managerial merry-go-round. Could West Ham realistically expect to be contesting for a top 6/Euro spot or is there unrealistic expectation based on their history and tradition? They're a mid table club at best, so is it worth the lottery ticket approach for minimal improvement. Perhaps it's a case these days of keep trying until one works. You run the risk of a relegation fight when it goes tits up of course. Unfortunately most clubs have to accept the fact that they're not one of the "big boys" financially and can't ever hope to compete at the top.
I believe that the supporters are not too happy with Allardyce's style of play, and the Club may just go along with them. WHU have a real football tradition, and Sam's approach conflicts greatly with that.
