Any of the Saints hierarchy who approves any sales of our England players pre-World Cup needs to go back to business school, and/or be shot.

 

What worries me is how influential Liverpool/England players such as Gerrard will be on a persuasion brief in Brazil.

 

And Lambert will be on a "beat the **** out of them" brief.

 

If any Liverpool/England players are doing anything other than concentrating on England then they should be sent home!!! If Captain fantastic is spending any of his time on buttering up prospective signings for his club then he should be stripped of his captaincy and sent packing.

 

Just been over reading SaintsWeb (I know I shouldn't). One poster suggested that letting Luke go would send the wrong message to youngsters coming through...yes, there's nothing like saying work hard and you could end up wanted by ManU to make them say, 'Sod it, why should we bother.'

Rather than outgoings, any news on possible transfers in coming? Didn't Krueger say there were a few players being looked at/talked about, just wondering if anyone knows who they might be. There must be some tidbits out there! Haven't heard anything more on Schmeichel too recently, I quite liked the sound of that one.

 

Players? Coming to Southampton? No, everybody in the entire club is leaving, have you learnt nothing!?


(In all honesty I rather doubt anything much will happen on that front, bar a free effort for KS, until the MP situation is resolved one way or the other).

I like how they add Lovren, Chambers, Morgan and Wanyama at the end of the article. So according to the Mail we will sell 7 players....

 

Everyone focused on the negative, our chairman did make it clear that "Les already has his plan in place. We have players we want to approach in the next few days." There will be incoming players, there will be incoming players, there will be incoming players.... anyone convinced yet?

 

Haha I guess not! I just thought that if I can get depressed with all these players that may or may not be leaving, then I can counteract that with the joy of the thought of players who may, or may not be joining!

 

Yeah, it seems we'll have about 70-100m to spend should some of these rumours transpire. Then we can spend with gay abandon, buy a load of tosh and be perpetually disappointing like Spurs.

 

We could spend the lot on Soldado, then we'll be sorted, and Tottenham will be ruined for ever.

 

Lovren loves it here, can't see him going at all. He hasn't even been that great since he came back from injury.

 

Has any club in history lost so many players without being relegated or in serious financial trouble?

 

Interesting that Adam has changed his name to Adam Lallana, the subject of a £20m bid from Liverpool; and Luke to Luke Shaw, reportedly the subject of a £27m bid from Manchester United. You’d think the England shirts wouldn’t be able to take all those letters.
