2 - Adam and Arthur. But you can't have either. Arthur is the future Adam. :D

It doesn't sound right that Lallana would make a provisional promise to another club in January in a season where, at the time, we were flying high. He would have kept his focus entirely on Saints and, let's say LFC did approach him back then, surely he would have thanked them for the interest and said "let's talk at the end of the season". He seems too sensible (he's not a kid after all) to risk undermining his own motivation like that on shaky ground.

    In short, I call bullshit.

All but a couple million of our debt has been converted to equity already. It is not, in the strictest of terms, debt.

We likely made a profit in '13/'14. Not a massive one, but a profit nonetheless. The outstanding transfer fees might prevent us from doing similar in '14/'15, but we could easily spend a decent chunk in the summer and still be around break-even. Our books are fine; we're in pretty rare company in terms of financial stability, actually.

If we sell players and cite financial reasons, it's because being around break-even isn't enough for the current owner, likely because someone has convinced her that turning a significant profit to recoup the since-converted investment and consolidating position are not, for all but a couple teams in the PL, diametrically opposed goals.

We do have that £27m in outstanding transfer fees, most of which is due for repayment this year. I'm sure some kind of restructuring could be worked out if that was in any way difficult to manage though (and we do have a lot of TV money incoming which should more than cover it).

I'm convinced the £27m in transfer fees isn't anything out of the ordinary, anyway. I'd certainly suspect most teams have installments yet to pay on a lot of transfers.

Yep we have no need to sell. But the players may want to go.

I don't think there's any proactive selling being considered on our part in the slightest (which is what I took from RK's comments a week or so ago).

Poch stays then I think Adam may stay, think they will see ambition of the club if Poch is given a decent contract and money in the summer to try and push on,but breaking into the top 7 or so isn't going to be easy, then if they stay I can't see Luke wanting to go neither. Fingers crossed the club want to push on and show more ambition.

    Agreed 100% Craig/GMI/Barry.

I think we're all on the same page with that.

    Good question.

I personally think he's a 60-70 minute player (though will probably get told off here for that). For all his attributes, very often physical longevity in a game isn't one of them. He's also been carrying a minor groin knock.

He can't last 90mins, Liverpool should try elsewhere.

he usually plays like two players for 70 minutes and needs to be rested after that.

yesterday he was totally off the pace second half and probably on instructions from the england camp.

Partly because he has started almost every game this season. He's not really subbed any more than a lot of other attacking players.
