Not a fan of either but if I had to chose, it's Johnson all day. Right backs aren't our strongest position! Walker probably should've made it though, or Flanagan.

    Isn't walker injured?

    The whole defence is shocking.

Ahh, wondered why he hadn't made it.

Very true tbf. Weakest defence England have had imo. 3 proper centre halves <yikes>

The petition to keep Cleverley out of the England squad was a waste of time, he did it off his own bat.

How is Lampard picked he is **** now and has been crap for England even in his peak. Our CBs are awful when Cahill is first choice you know your ****ed. Add Milner and Henderson 2 average players who are nothing more then a couple of work horses.

Who would you have had ahead of Lamps? Experience/leadership is invaluable. If you say Carrick you are stupid.

The same Cahill who has been one of the league's best defenders this season you mean?

I think it was a big mistake not taking Andy Carroll. He isn't a good footballer, but I don't think there's a forward in world football that is a better aerial threat. The guy wins everything that is hoofed up to him.

I'm not saying he should have started, but he would have been our plan B, if things weren't working out. If we desperately needed a goal going into the final 20 mins, he'd of been ideal to come off the bench, and hoof a few balls up to him, and let the others feed off it.

Lambert is probably the better footballer, but he's just your run of the mill striker, he's not outstanding at anything. Atleast with Carroll if you play to his strengths he can be unplayable:biggrin:

He is finished and we have enough midfielders in the squad. Cahill has been poor most games I have watched him for England.

We would be better off having nobody that johnson.

Even johnson thinks Johnson is clueless.

At no point in history has andy carroll been unplayable.

Ronaldo is a million times better with his head.

Accuracy wise, yes. But in terms of winning the headers, Carroll is the bigger threat, as he can bully defenders physically. Ronaldo is an amazing athlete aerially, with the way he can jump, but Carroll is more of a target man. If your going to plan B then you wouldn't be hoofing balls up to Ronaldo, as he wouldn't physically dominate defenders, like Carroll can

Lampard should be there but should never be on the field at the same time as Gerrard. Flannagan is better than Johnson and Wilshire is just a wasted midfield slot. Cahill has beenone of the best ch in the premier league this season and should be paired with Jags.
