(1) Then deep down why can't you be happy with yourself that you are such a genuine loyal supporter of your beloved home town football club and leave it at that ? (2) Ahh.....violence ;-) Top Saint ;-) but then again you're a REAL football fan lol (3) Or maybe you didn't sell out?
i still haven't had time to properly bask in the delicious schadenfreude of portsmouth not getting more money from liverpool.
Very trye in places and incorrect in others. The Stoke and Palace thing is a bit of an urban myth...along with Manchester is Blue ( Did you see how many empty seats city had two games ago)??? Yes, in recent years both Stoke and Palace have gained a bit of a reputation but let's not forget what they were once like and not that long ago too. OT this season has been MUCH better than it has been for 10 years plus. No coincidence that when the going gets tough etc etc
Have you ever read a Rothmans? In fact do you know what a Rothmans is...lol. Do yourself a favour and have a look at United's attendances at Old Trafford for the last 40 years..then ask someone old enough what we were like home and away in 1975 as a division two team ;-) Jump before you look do ya ;-)
I was getting a bit annoyed with the Commentator on Sky who seemed extremely biased in my opinion (of course I am not!) and when I checked him out it was obvious why, he is from Oxshott, the heartland of United support!
The only time I've actually felt scared for my safety at a football ground was in the 90s when we played Cardiff at The Dell. I've no issue in particular with Man United fans, and I'm not entirely sure what we're basing criteria for 'most loathsome' on.
Can we file this under irony? A thread about United's **** support, where we proved we're not ****...commented upon by a Saints fan, talking standard bollox about where our support is "based"...... who watched the game on the TV? Haha.. NEXT!
Get with it fella. Loathsome because we all come from Surrey, non of us wear colours, none of us supported United 20 years ago and our songs are ****e
You can find things (normally clichéd) that are irritating about any group of fans - Arsenal's impassiveness, Chelsea's aggression, West Ham's bleating about footballing styles or '66, Liverpool's victim mentality, United's arrogance, Spurs sense of entitlement. All as bad, or as good, as each other really for me. Clearly we're perfect mind you.
Saints fans tend to welcome our fans from other regions and even make a big deal out of there being "scottish saints" or "london saints" etc etc. So, it's hypocritical to moan about Man Utd, Chelsea etc having lots of fans from outside their cities.
No file it under cheeky, we too have worldwide support, but are still new at this plastic adulation thing but I feel it is coming, unless of course we go into the predicted meltdown scenario, it's tough at the top isn't it?
I was at the game by the way, and also watched it on the box afterwards, you seem quick to jump to conclusions, pardon me if I accuse you of being a bit suspiciously like a troll, but then I could be the pot calling the kettle black!
Don't know any, how come you haven't posted on the United site and appear to have upset the Liverpool fans big time, doesn't seem like a thing a decent Manure fan would do? I can see where you got the red line from.
Troll, I don't know the Official definition, but I understood it to be someone who goes on someone elses Forum to annoy and upset the residents with a load of tripe, and you are doing a good job in that respect. Who started this thread anyway, not one of our regulars methinks, I suspect a conspiracy, apologies if I am mistaken, but we have seen this a few times in the past.
