Yeah, I wasn't confident on Shaw, but pretty happy with that now Cole definitely isn't going.

Erm I put £100 on the Lallana and Barkely double, don't ask why, I never normally bet that much! I did it ages ago, thought odds of over 10/1 were pretty good for that.

And I put £20 on the other one, so about 20/1 for that, which I thought was quite good odds too!

I think that'd have been funnier without the hashtags.

It looks like it's Lambert ahead of Carroll.

    I'd take

    Hart
    Forster
    Butland

    Walker
    Cahill
    Jones
    Shaw
    Stones
    Smalling
    Flanaghan

    Gerrard
    Barkley
    Henderson
    Carrick
    Wilshere
    Lallana
    Oxlade-Chamberlin
    Sterling

    Welbeck
    Rooney
    Lambert
    Carroll
    Sturridge

Pointless taking a 31 old keeper as third choice. Give a young lad some experience at a major tournament.

If you consider sitting on the bench as third choice 'experience', that's fine by you.

I would rather Butland go and play for the U21s.

My 3 would be Hart, Foster and Forster. All 3 of those are better than Butland anyway.

    Here's my squad: http://www1.skysports.com/FIFA-Worl...ctor/fdc0a8bcbd91f2b5380956de65f368f05742cfbc

I like most of the squad but Smalling should **** off. With him and Jones as the only real cover we can't get any defensive injuries or we're ****ed. I don't get this picking people just because they can play two position even though they're **** at both of them.

Cleverley and Carrick on standby is bullshit too. Should have been Barry on there.

Not a lot to complain about.

Would have had Stones in for Smalling though.

agree with that squad. only issue I would have is swap smalling to standby & bring stones in, and maybe bring hudds in on standby (purely because theres no one else!!) and get rid of the dog ****e cleverly!!! how is he even on standby ffs!!

The midfield and attack looks great to me. I really don't think there's that many better squads than us. We're not blessed with depth at the back but most teams have a weakness somewhere.

Still trying to work out the logic of Smalling over Stones, never mind countless other CBs...

Cleverley on stand-by is an insult to players such as Osman, Huddlestone, Noble, Livermore and even Gareth Barry......

To be fair, we're really not that bad. I just think we lack 'world class' players.

I'd only really say that Rooney is world class, by that I mean that if he became available then I think every club in the World would want him.

I said that I didn't care about the side, but actually I think we could do quite well.

I don't expect us to come in the top 8 but I can see players like Barkley and Shaw having a great time. I think the future is brighter than it has been in ages.

that squad is a very good squad no doubt about it. looking at it shows just how much talent/depth we do have in midfield/attack. only prob is that defence is going to get ripped to shreds by the bigger teams, not to mention roys awful tactics!! still why is cleverly on standby ffs?
