Misinformed maybe, just passing on what I heard.

To the poster saying I'm off school messing around on photoshop - couldn't be more wrong. I'm off work as my wife has just got back from hospital after having an OP. I finished school 20 years ago, and I don't even use photoshop

That shirt is a great picture and is definitely evidence. I mean, it explains how this exists for the player who won City the league.

I must have missed a great big chunk of news somewhere as I am totally bemused by these "need to sell" statements being made on here. We are in rude fiscal health. In fact, we are no doubt the envy of most clubs for that fact as well as our academy.

That said, you can never legislate for either what another team is prepared to pay and, far more importantly, whether a player wants to leave. There is simply no point denying a player a move, contracted or not. It just upsets the apple cart. If Adam wants to leave we simply quote a huge fee and say take it or leave it.

 

Given the current Liverpool forward line and midfield, you actually have to question why they want Lallana in the first place and why they are not concentrating their finances on their defence.

Suarez, Sturridge and Sterling in particular all like to roam about the pitch (like Lallana does), if Suarez stays I can actually envisage them getting in each other's way. Of course, if Suarez leaves then are they significantly better than Saints anyway?

Of course, very team wants the best players, and English ones particularly but he certainly will no longer have the freedom he has here.

 

Who wouldn't want Lallana?

 

Being in the CL next season we need a better squad and Lallana would suit our style of play perfectly - he's the perfect fit for Liverpool in every way. He would give us more options to whatever formation we play, he'd fit our diamond perfectly and also fit into our 4-3-3 perfectly.

I'd be very surprised if he's not a Liverpool player come the end of the summer

Great season for Suarez, definitely the best player I saw visit St Mary's this season, thoroughly deserves all the accolades he's received. As a Southampton fan it would be naive of me to think that an offer from a club with LFC's history, heritage and ambition (not to mention a probable doubling of wages) would not turn Lallana's head, but there is always a bigger fish and that naivety would also apply to any Liverpool supporter that didn't think it would be the same with Suarez if Real come calling. All in I'd say that the chances of both players still being at the same club as this season is about even.

 

If Lallana does go I would make Liverpool pay the 25% to Bournemouth on top of paying us 20 odd mil.

 

This is not a decision that Adam would take lightly...that's all we can say really.

 

Well I heard that Suarez to Real was done and dusted, but I'm not on the Liverpool board shouting about it.

 

I'd be very surprised if you're willing to pay what we would want for him.

 

Why sell him before the world cup? He could add an extra ten million to his value and also attract the real big boys - not a bunch of one season wonders.
