But easier to talk Shaw out of a move...he is scarcely out of leading reins. Adam would have a valid reason to ask for a move at his age.
Yep agreed. And therein lies another of the complexities of the whole situation that needs very clever and strong management if we're to keep them. I can't work out in myself whether I'd be angry or understanding should Adam hustle to go.
I for one would say good luck to him. After all he's done for us, he deserves a massive contract and to play on the big stage if that's what he wants.
Anyone notice Luke after the final whistle nipped across to behind the goal in the Chapel end, having quick kiss and cuddle with a young lady? Friend or family I wonder!
Ah no, someone will track this girl down, find out she once spent a night in Manchester and that's that.....
He said that it was a shame and that we had a good team before that, not sure why he thinks that we have to take the money though - I suppose that is what smaller teams are expected to do.
Bit left-field of the MOTD pundits to mention outside interest in our players, isn't it? Oh wait, it's only the 459th time they've mentioned it since Christmas, seemingly unable to enlighten the masses on ANY other aspect of Southampton's existence. This goes for pundits on every network as far as I can tell.
He said it's a shame we have to sell "all of the young players" but we need the money. Clearly he's done his research.
And just before MOTD retirement, Alana Hansen says we have to sell because we need the money. Has there ever been a pundit who does less research..? Well, yeah there have been plenty, but he's right up there.
Don't understand why we HAVE to sell because we need the money. We have just raked in £83 million for finishing 8th. We'll only sell if we feel the money can't be turned down, or if the player wants to leave, not because of finances.
