...come out an issue a statement about his intentions and ambitions for next season. With all the uncertainty around the squad following our near miss last season, a lot of fans/players (myself included) could be excused for feeling a little unsure about the future ahead of the upcoming season. SG should praise the squad's achievements and their strong, attacking football and highlight that we need to play well as a unit next season and maintain the high strike rate but state clearly that the defence needs improving and that is his priority for next season. An improved back line, strong centre midfield (as opposed to the one that goes missing every other match since SG took over) and a star signing up top, and we're on a roll to automatic promotion. It's a big ask, but we're a big club and we deserve a manager who can learn from his mistakes and set us up so we can have the best possible chance at promotion from this increasingly tough league. Until I see that, or at least he makes these feelings clear through signings, I'm going to remain a doubter (which I really wasn't up until earlier this year). Come on SG! MOT LW88
its going to be much more difficult to get promotion this seasonin my opinion there are at least 12 teams in with a realistic chanceso we need to do something very strange spend moneyWest Ham Birmingham and Leicester are already spending this is our bench mark if you like the sooner the parasite goes the better oh for Dean Hoyle!
it will be alot more difficult this season there is more expectatiosn on us, cause we will be expected to go 1 better than last season
you guys dont seem to realise that to build a good squad, you dont necessarily need to spend much money, our main players did not cost a penny in transfers and there are alot of premier league players and championship players that are on a free and these are good players that can do a very good job
Other than Blackpool, no-one gets promoted like that. You do need to spend some money, especially now we're looking at goalkeepers, defenders and midfielders who are going to cost if you're looking at the ones who can guide us to promotion. I'm not against freebies, some of whom can be and have been excellent, but now we're looking for solid quality, it's going to demand some money.
to be fair reading that back didnt really get my point across, yes you do need to spend money if you expect a promotion push but i am just pointing out that there are alot of players out there that can do a very good job, just because they are on a free does not mean that they are no good
