Swindon Town won promotion to the Premier League during the 1992â93 season, the only time the club has played in the top level of English football. Swindon was the second team to win promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs, beating Leicester City. Yes and I was there.... Awful evening, terry fenwick was playing for them if I recall correctly. They had fjortift up top and created little. I was there with my brother in law - a Swindon lad and had a rubbish drive home back to Bristol. Wished I had t taken the p1ss out of their premier league sign - "are you renting that?"
