With your lack of European football, direction, manager etc. The only big name player you boys will bring in this summer is Goran Kobmeatsavichson-smith.

The only way you will finish above us next season is if you play your last game at altitude

On a more serious note, I think you should sign Anton Rodgers as your next manager. He was always good from May to December

So Spuds are away to WBA as the last game of the 2014/15 season! Well that's the highest ground above sea level in the Premiership

Poor old Wenger. He's just woken up from his season-long sleep and realised that City are now highly likely to win the title!

Would've looked pretty silly if they hadn't won.

Nothing much gets past him, does it? Well, apart from Hazard, Eriksen, Gotze, and just about every other player that he was supposedly on the brink of signing, when they were cruelly snatched from under his nose!...

Ironic how Liverpool players were falling over all season to con their way into a title race and in the end a genuine fall from Gerrard cost them winning the league. <laugh>

    Superb observation! But absolutely correct.

After all that "we've got to win it for Stevie" bollocks, dear old Stevie went and ****ed it up for everyone! I bet Goofy cannot wait to be rid of that bunch of clowns!

I wonder when Real will begin their tapping-up campaign in earnest?

If people think Gerrard's slip cost us the title they're utterly clueless. A title is won over 38 games and City were the best best team over the 38 games - Hnece, they won the title.

    Congratulations City <applause>

I'm a very proud Liverpool fan, and finishing 2nd is a great achievement - considering most people didn't think we'd even get close to top 4 this season.

All in all a great season for Liverpool - no one could possibly deny that fact <ok>

  14. I think 'Pool were extremely lucky this season.

    (1) Club breaches Goofy's contract to keep him, but instead of being sued, the gamble pays off, and Goofy goes on to be the best player in the PL.

    (2) United **** up completely by appointing non-entity manager, Moyes, and suffer their worst season in PL history.

    (3) Chelsea make the mistake of re-employing The Smug One, and **** up massively.

    (4) Whinger refuses to buy a striker, and Arsenal implode just before Xmas, going on one of the most spectacular bottle-jobs ever witnessed.

    (5) The mighty Spurs chairman, "bargain basement" Levy, hits the self-destruct button, not once, but twice during the same season, and Spurs never really get themselves in contention.

Every single one of these factors played their part in LFC looking like world-beaters. It is extremely unlikely that all of these factors will come together again in the same season. Indeed, with Goofy gone, LFC's dreadful defence, a rejuvenated Chelsea (after they sack The Smug One) and Arsenal, and an organized Spurs, on top of a grueling CL schedule, I simply cannot see 'Pool finishing in the top 4, next season.

That said, you've got the memories of the dreams this season, and that is something warm to cling to in the bleak days ahead.

Liverpool also managed to keep their first team more or less injury free for the whole season. City and Arsenal had a string of injuries which stalled them hugely, and City still won!

Is it time for a 'Mouser Watch 3' thread to usher in the new era of mouser delusion that this summer will bring, HIAG?

Is that a lucky break or because of our recent restructuring of our medical team? Luck doesn't exist! Coincidence however does - and we were well placed to do well this season due to United failing. But we took the opportunity ourselves.

Thoroughly enjoyed this season. Title would've been out of this world but (as a pessimist) I never thought we'd do it, so I'm handling it grand. We got some big scorelines this season that we'll remember for a long time.

EDIT: And yes it was 2nd to 7th.

Few factors in that - The owners, the awful purchases that summer, Real's second Galacticos spree aided by Rafa's treatment of Alonso...

Hopefully won't happen this time around. Expect a few progressive (modest yet solid) signings and no major outgoings.

Which team did you prefer, the team of 2009/10 or this years team?

This years' team has more quality I feel and is younger. But I can't forget the 4-0 mauling of Real Madrid in 09/10, that was beautiful

So are all you boys ready to be closet Liverpool fans for the summer, if as predicted many of the Liverpool core make it into the England Squad.

Here are some tenuous links to help you feel akin to the Liverpool stars who may make the squad:

Steven Gerrard - His hairdresser is called Victoria and he has a ridiculously low hair line - White haet lane closest station is seven sisters on the Victoria Line.

Jordan Henderson - His surname is a reversal of son of Hen, Your badge incorporates a chicken of which a hen is the female

John Flannaghan - has a head shaped like one of those odd shaped potatoes that people post online, you are the spuds.

Daniel Sturridge - he has the same first name as your chairman

Glenn Johnson - Is from London

Raheem Sterling - Lived for alot of his life in london, has slept with seven sisters, (another tenuous underground link)

Hope these help you form a bond with the possible Liverpool contingent in the England Squad
