IanJTaylor ‏@IJTaylor81 Plenty of work going into Monday's mosaic at LR. Will reveal full details on Monday but here's a teaser #weRtogether Fortunately I can't see this reaching the back row of the Upper Loft, although Stan's face would be a picture if he was expected to lift up a plastic placard in unison with everyone else.
Theres no way Im doing if its some tacky twitter thing. I would also hope its not plastic as then there would be thousands of potential missles that would probably find their way onto the pitch if we lose.
It's a thin plastic sheet, kind of like cling film so if you throw it then it won't go very far! Should look good though, not sure if it's all stands though
These things are almost always ****. The best atmosphere in my lifetime was the Oldham playoff game. That was just 18000 blokes shouting loudly. A piece of paper or plastic flag doth not an atmosphere create.
On this occassion I am willing to sacrifice my self determination for the good of the herd. I hope it is Ellerslie or S Africa Road though, as we won't get to see whatever it is from the top of the Loft otherwise, given that our laughable 'big screen' isn't visible from there.
Its 12 k seats so I would have thought they were doing the ellerslie but then that would look crap for the players coming out. We have 16k home fans so there's 4k that doesn't have them, perhaps the loft end?
No but with respect Wats, perhaps you're not thinking of the bigger picture. With this game on show to tens of thousands around the Country and the World, such things do look very good on TV. The Italians are the masters at this sort of thing because they're a people who're acutely aware of the value of good optics. I know you ain't too enamoured with the TV crowd mate, what with their messing with your Saturday game times and all, but its an important dimension to consider for any Club and its fans.
I guess it depends what it is. Is anyone on TV really going to be impressed with this? Would they be more impressed than were they to hear 18000 men calling Callum McManaman a **** or questioning Uwe Rosler's parentage? A big '#we r qpr' mosaic will look and be ****.
What the hell, I'm going to get a grip on the plastic thingy and just get on with it! I'm sure I'll be excited when it happens.... PS: Anyone in the Coningham Arms pre-match; what's the chances of Cerny joining us?!
Anything to do with twitter would be tacky, I mean Fulham tacky to the point of embarrassment. Look at the tacky members hat given out, I've only seen one person wearing them. Blue and white hoops with we are QPR is fine.
