As much as finishing 12th is a great achievement, and todays win was great, lets not forget we were 12th when ML was sacked :p Lets not get too far ahead of ourselves.

Still have my reservations, but Monk will get my full support, just lets not get OTT just yet.

    Putting things into perspective,

    Points achieved = 42

    Laudrup contribution = 24

    Monk contribution = 18

I'm sure someone will correct me if the above are incorrect.

Only one person going OTT and his opinions are never moderate they are always extreme.

For me this was a must win for monk to settle most fans nerves. He still has a lot of work to do.

It was a great win,and to finish 12th was beyond my expectations, but it wasn't all down to Monk, and his love children need to be reminded of that, lest they forget. <cheers>

good end to a difficult season. each manager has taken us a little bit further since our dark days and Laudrup was no exception. lets hope Monk is the man to continue that trend, hes done a decent job so far but the real test will come in the close season keeping our key players and building a better squad which lets face it was not up to it this season. like Swanselona i also have my reservations but he also gets full support from me.

Very good win, but once again against avery poor team with nothing to play for but pride.

Is anyone else concerned about substitutions?
Our back four were screaming for improvement and Monk has to wait until Tiendalli looks like he'll be sent off before he's changed. The young Amat did really well but was riled and wound up (don't blame him tbh) Barltey has hardy played nor has Taylor (captain again - does he have dirt on someone?) and we sub one of the better players inn the pitch; Emnes. Injury?
Leon came on and ran the show, what a legend.

Although Tremmel had a weak hand on their goal he did get to it, made some very good saves, positioned himself well and commanded his area (apart from rushes to the head of the inexperienced back four).

    Foy was a joke, again.

Me! Monk should never have taken Emnes off, showed a real lack of judgement in seeing out the game, Emnes and Bony are a real threat together, and Monk should be cementing this partnership, we need to get Emnes signed permanently now, the lad deserves to be back at this level, great little player, and I cannot say it enough about the lad, new when we got him on loan it would be very good for us, sort it out Huw!.......................<ok>

Have to say I thought the Emnes signing was about as daft as it got, but he and Bony look the business together. A much better balance than Bony and Michu where both are the A player, Emnes complements Bony better.

If we are going to buy one of Emnes or deGuzman, who would you choose?

I totally disagree that the players were not up for it, The problem is plain to see that they could not play laudrups type of football. The minute we started to play the Swansea way we looked a good side and if we had played that way all season we could easily have been in the top half...the same players were used in both systems and there is only one system that works for us and that is the Swansea way as its been named...
