We came close but fair play to City they are worthy winners. I hope we can push them again next season.
Yes, worthy champions and no complaints. We WILL be there again next season, wait and see, but City will be head and shoulders the team to beat. Rather them than Chavski.
played city just glad it came down to 2 pts and not the 5 pts it looked like at one point, as it was always a title that was won by one game.
Best 2 teams came 1st and 2nd. Overall, the defence gave them the edge this year. Congrats to them, they were the best team overall this season. Shame there aren't a few more fans around on here though
Good to see Scudamore smiling as he gives out the medals. Thought the **** made his feelings clear that the Premier League are in meltdown that United were also-rans this season. Hurts, but again we have to say the best team won, and they'll be the team to beat for the next few seasons, I'm sure.
Yep. Worthy winners. Can't complain about 2nd given the circumstances. People can wum all they want. We've done so well with a young bunch of players who haven't experienced much glory between them. City have been there before and their squad and experience was far superior. They only finished 2 points ahead.
Would have taken second tocity at start of season and mancs in 7th so no compliant s from me. Congratulations to city, hope we can push you all the way next season.
Over 38 games the team at the top always deserves it. Well done to them, they played great football as well, always looking to attack and score goals. Its great that the top 2 teams in the league went out to try and play attacking vibrant football all of the season. I think the fact that Liverpool managed to keep pace with them for the majority of the season with a small squad and a core of British players is a brilliant achievement.
Grats to man city. Really pleased for pellegrini finishing above jose, and as for us, i would have been delighted with 4th at the start of the season
Wouldn't go that far...when it comes to it, it's just another oil team who've bought yet another title with a bench worth more than most the clubs they play against. I hope FFP hits them hard as it should do so teams like this have to actually work hard to get success, not just buy it. They play great football though and at are at least classy when it comes to the media (*cough, unlike Mourinho*) so I still prefer them over Chavski and United, but I would, of course, rather they weren't in the title race until they sort their ridiculous finances out.
It's tricky because you're right. They have spent a **** load etc but at least they've spent it and managed to produce good football. that's why people don't like Chelsea so much, spent a **** load but still play dull boring football.
Id have been far more gutted had we lost out to Chelsea, City are a great footballing side and finally have a quality manger. Well done.
