Well done on winning the league Bad luck Bottlepool, you slipped up, well Steven Gerrard slipped up and cost you the title.
Fair play city. Took advantage of a poor quality league and came out champions. Nothing impressive about them really. Can be brilliant but more than anything they were the most consistent side when it mattered. Unlucky Liverpool. Gave it a good go for most of the season. Almost slipped at christmas then gerraed gave it to ba and we all know the rest.
City best side. Most goals. Played best football. Liverpool, Suarez, skrtel and refs cheated them out of 3 points at Anfield
So is this the worst season yet or a poor season????? Or is that only said when Man United win the league????
there was more points between 1st and 2nd last season than 1st and 4th this season I guess you plastics only think it's a good season when no one else can challenge. Those years are over for you lot
The last few times United have won the league all we hear is its because its a poor league.... When City won it on goal difference all we heard was how amazing they were and they are a class above anyone. So why is it a poor year when United win it but not so when they don't??
deluded ... hhhhhh like when you said come to us when you match our record you had one good season almost injury free with no other competition ... just let us sit and watch and the laugh start next season when you go back as a mid table club mark my words honey
Great season, one of the most enjoyable yet IMO. Harsh to say we 'bottled it'. Won 12 and drew 1 of our last 14 games - it was ridiculous how we put ourselves into contention until the final day. Next year will be tougher yet, can't see your lot being so poor again.
Technically... even if we had got a draw against Chelsea (it was 0-0 before the slip) we still would have lost out to City. I do think mentally, the slip cost us from that point going forwards- but technically, the slip didn't end out title- and the slip alone was not enough of a set-back to make us lose the title.
If it wasn't for that defeat, you wouldn't have still been chasing the game at Palace when 3-0 up, looking to narrow the GD. That game cost you title, no doubt about it imo.
It wasn't the slip... it was our attitude after the slip. I think we could have rescued at least one point from the Chelsea game if it weren't for the attitude after the slip. Everyone forgot to play as a team- they all were trying to score the next goal as individuals. We had several situations where a pass would have led to a clear chance at goal- where the player took a half chance instead. It was the lack of teamwork after that goal that cost us in that game. The players all forgot that there is no "I" in Lverpool.
