This season is going to be worse than 2004, and i know for a lot of people on here that F1 only started in 2007, but 2004 was complete garbage, this is somehow worse.

add 2002 into that as well, hopefully Mercedes won't try to manipulate finishes or insist on such blatant team orders as we saw back then on the finish lines.

If it wasn't for the Bahrain race and the vain hope it might be repeated i'd have stopped watching by now. Atrocious season.

Who are these people and if so, why does it even matter?

I've been watching since the mid 80's, Doesn't make me any more of a fan than those that are recent supporters nor does it give the right suggest their support isn't genuine. Get over yourself.

Monaco will tighten the field up, RBR clearly have a good car underneath them so if one of them can at least split the Mercedes on the grid then it may give us a race.

Thank god Mercedes allow their guys to race.

But seriously, this is a sport clutching at straws right now. We've got to watch this procession for a long, long time.

Well done to Seb Vettel today by the way- proving that DRS is a load of cobblers and that the best overtakes can be done as they always were and through a bit of clever thinking and instinct.

So very tempted to just ignore F1 until it catches up with itself. Really no fun watching that for 60 laps.

How does everyone feel about the sport now we are just over a quarter of the way into the season?

They've ruined it. The new cars are ugly as sin, sound ridiculous, the Mercedes is so much better than anyone else it's no fun. Monaco will be worse, because the Merc has far better mechanical grip than the Red Bull.

Barcelona rarely produces classic races, so today really did highlight how bad F1 can be.

Even 2012 when Maldonado won it, there was no real fight at the front.

Would I be controversial in saying Barcelona should be dropped, or just any Spanish track. Jarama, Jerez, Valencia and Barcelona all produced processional bore-fests.

The Spainards prefer their MotoGP, let them stick to that so F1 can go and find a new track somewhere.

The only people to blame for this procession are Renault and Ferrari. This isn't a case of engine regulations being changed half way through a season, these new engines have been known well in advance and Renault/Ferrari have had the same anount of time as Mercedes to build their engines. People may not like it, but don't blame Mercedes, blame the other engine suppliers for being ****!

A race around Monaco is barely a race during a good season. If RBR weren't even close here they won't be there either. Maybe if Rosberg fluffs the start.

Canada is a pretty good track though so i'll watch that one for the battle from 3rd down.

There's nobody to "blame" as such. I think even with equal engines the Mercedes is just a better chassis. Remember this was one of the more aero dependent circuits. It's just a ****ty situation. Other teams will catch up in time, but who knows how long that'll be. Months at the minimum, years at worst.

But Renault still are not running their engine as well as Mercedes are. If they were then Qualifying and the race would probably be closer, but Mercedes deserve credit for the aero of the car compared to last year.

Not a lot different from last years borefest, but the saving graces are:

    1. We could see a good inter-team battle for the title at Merc.

    2. It's a new format, so still room for others to close in on the Merc. Even if it takes till next season to really get there.

He is so right...wasn't it Renault who were pushing for the new regulation to come into force and were threatening to pull out if it didn't happen quickly?
