Sky say they want Paul Rachukba from Blackpool

Hardly progress is it. Sell Schmeichel and sign him

Schmeichels agent has said in the mercury that they will talk to city soon. So o think he will probaly sign early next week

Rachubka's set to be the replacement for our backup keeper Higgs who we got rid of. Schmeichel's replacement is as yet unknown.

I do hope that is correct. He was Pool's 3rd choice keeper and played only 3 games last season: all defeats and conceded 9 goals!!!

I'm not keen on Schmeickel at all.

He should be delighted to join Leicester City...not just coming because Sven is manager. I am usually on the side of backing players but he will have some work to do to get me on side if he does join. I might even boo him!!!

And I tell you something... it will be a good long time before I learn to spell his name!!

Schmeichel was just disappionted in how Leeds handled the situation.

I will support players for any number of mistakes on the pitch ( so long as it looks like they are trying) but the disrespect he has shown is staggering.

First of all he says he wants to stay at Leeds, then he says if he signs for Leicester it will only be because Sven is manager!!!

At least Peltier seems chuffed to bits to be here !!!! Grrrrrr

Did he? Have you got a link?

Peltier is chuffed because he's signing for a team in a higher league with prospects of promotion to the Premier League. Kasper's move was arguably a sideways step.

I know he doesn't sound exactly ecstatic, but it may well just be an angry, reactionary hissy-fit due to his disappointment of leaving Leeds or not going to a Prem side. I would find that understandable. It's very possible he'll be over it soon when he steps back and calms down.

It doesn't really matter if he just wants to play for Sven, because Sven is our manager. Players often sign for Clubs because they like the manager, Neil Lennon loved Martin O'Neill for example, and he always played his heart out. Pearson had a similar effect on some players - like Fryatt and Hobbs, both of which have played great under him. You can't really expect players to really want to play for Leicester City.

His comments are far from encouraging, but I'd like to give him a chance and hear what he has to say in the coming weeks before making him an enemy of the state.

    Emilio

I do not care what he says in the coming weeks if he signs for us, I care about his attitude and performance next season!

On paper he is a big prospect and surely hungrier than Ricardo! Good competition for Weale.

If he concedes less goals next season than he did at Leeds this season than I will be happy!

    Oh yeh, and that :)

He better not drop any clangers in the first 3 games, otherwise it's 'WEA-UL, WEA-UL, WEA-UL!!!' ;)

I will probably calm down a little bit about Schmeichel at some point but he should think about what he says on Twitter.

An article in the Blackpool local paper made it's way back to Leicester and pretty much ruined the relationship between DJ and Leicester fans.

IF...he signs, I expect him standing in the stadium holding a LCFC shirt, SMILING, and saying how delighted he is to have signed for a bigger club with better prospects of promotion.

Then I might let him off. ;)

Yeah, i will hold him no grudges, as long as we see him holding a Leicester GK top soon.

I think hes just upset about how Leeds didnt tell him anything about it, because it may seem to Leeds fans like he was being a s*** over a contract extension, he just wanted to make it clear he was willing to see out his contract and it was the boards doing.

This Sven part was actually his agent, basically saying that they had worked together before and may be a big part of the reason that he would want to come here.

The word from the Leeds fans is! He is a good shot stopper but just flaps at crosses, he has conceded over 70 goals this season! with the defence
we have, god help us if he comes here. sorry but he does not give me any confidence! and i am fed up of players comming here as a last resort!
better goalkeepers than him out there.
