retained list will be a list of transfer targets for other clubs I.E Byram/Ross/Smith maybe Pearce. Rest can **** off
Cellino was meant to meet with McD last week but he called it off, if it is called off this week as well then we all know why.
Retained list will be issued after McD is sacked, expect all out of contracts to be released "For the sake of Leeds United he would break himself in two"
if McD is still in charge in the summer my guess is Lees, Pearce, Murphy, Austin, Hunt, Warnock, Smith, Wootton, Zulikus, McCormack, Ariyibi and Mowatt Then add the signing of Stewart and McDaird's professional contract as well. That makes about 14 by my counting
Ariyibi's already left, Wolfie. Got drummed out on loan. Word is that he thought he was Billy Bignob & rubbed too many people up the wrong way. Also hearing that Hunt wants released. Guess there's only so much abuse you can take, big money or not! Noticed that you've omitted Dawson. I understood he was a bright young thing about to break into the team. Kissa, you heard anything?
I knew Aryibi was loaned out, I thought it was to get 1st team experience. If Hunt wants out then Hunt can go. We can get a better striker to replace him on less wages. Left Dawson out cos I don't consider him a 1st team/senior squad player
Players out of contract this summer Jamie Ashdown, Gboly Ariyibi, Alex Cairns, Michael Brown, El Hadji Diouf, Adam Drury, Paul Green, Ross Killock, Danny Pugh, Charlie Taylor, Lewis Turner, Nathan Turner, and Luke Varney. So all 13 can go as far as I'm concerned and on top of those we need to try our best to offload a good chunk of the rest. The likes of EHD haven't been seen for months and he's been abroad countless times and picks up wages. No wonder we're skint, who the **** allows employees who are huge earners to not bother coming to work and still get paid. What the **** has Hunt ever done since he landed? The manager needs to get his priorities right, learn to know what works and what doesn't and learn to read some books on tactics and maybe he'll have a chance of doing something. Last chance saloon time, if he keeps his job
Didn't realise Charlie Taylor's out of contract. He's had a cracking season at Fleetwood and is definitely worth a new contract. Agree the rest can go. McDermott's not ruthless enough to cull the squad, he needs to be the first out the door.
Forza one of the biggest problems is our managers credibility now, as he was supposed to be someone who could recognise a gem, and someone who could coach talent and improve them. The only signing proved to be good has been Smith and he's a bit part player. Murphy is hot and cold and I believe he will come good, however Hunt, Stewart, kebe, Marius, Wootton, Arybi, etc, have been dire. Mowatt has gone backwards and Byram is still not right. He doesn't know a decent formation and one minute wants wingers so brings 2 in and we watch the worst set of results in the club history. From being nailed on top 6 our form after is the worst in the league and relegation stuff. So the manager just cannot carry on blaming everything else when his tactics and his signings have failed. Our best players besides Ross have all been Warnock signings, and I know even he would have got better results with this lot than Brian. I was chuffed when we got rid of Warnock and brought Brian in, but a season and a half wasted now.
Yeah, we need to keep Taylor and personally think we will after his loan spell. One of the Turner brothers did very well at Chester (?), which I appreciate is not a big club but warrants a contract extension in my opinion. Possibly Cairns on a 1 year deal aswell. None of them are going to cost much money and all still young - rest can fu*k off for all I care.
