No idea why Dunne is near the team. He is clearly a huge liability, well past it.

I guess you have to look at the other options.

The theory on Yun is he's too inexperienced which is Redknapp's fault as he's clearly good enough and should have 20-30 appearances by now. Hughes is just **** so no point going into that too much more. Beyond that it's kids like Donaldson and Ehmer, both of whom I rate but again haven't ever had the opportunity, or Ekotto and who knows where he is?

I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't see Dunne start on Monday. He has done his bit (no pun intended) in a game where we stayed back a lot of the time.

I don't suppose he will be up for 2 games in 3 days anyway, so would expect Hill to move in and Yun to play left back.

We need to venture forward more on Monday if we are to win the game. Yun at LB is far more attack minded and has more speed to get back to his defensive duties.

Bang on the money Eamon. Tactically Dunne did what was required in the first leg (including showing he was our weak link at the back due to his lack of pace - Rosler would be an idiot if he wasn't going to have his players attack him in the second leg if he played). So definitely should be Hill back in with Ned and Yun in at Left back, with Traore in front of him to support if necessary but with the remit to attack the wing and get those crosses in (would be a tough shift for him, but it's the most important game of the season, and needs it).

Clint Hill is set to play for QPR in the second leg of their Championship play-off semi-final against Wigan despite admitting that he caught Rob Kiernan with a ‘reckless’ elbow in the early stages of Friday’s 0-0 draw.

The Football Association will look at video evidence and consult with referee Mike Jones, who did not see the incident. If Hill is subsequently charged, he would be given until 6pm on Tuesday to appeal and will therefore be available on Monday.

But if he is found guilty and QPR go through, he would almost certainly be suspended for the final at Wembley.

Hill ought to be fearing the worst after being caught on camera whacking Kiernan at the DW Stadium. The defender said: ‘I have apologised. I caught him. It was a little bit reckless.’

Hill’s defensive colleague, Richard Dunne, is confident QPR can cope with a similarly tense occasion that he expects could go all the way to extra-time. The 34-year-old said: ‘We wanted to win the league to start with and then get second place but, as the season has gone on, we are lucky to have a second chance.

'Now that is upon us and it’s all or nothing. Whatever pressure is on us it’s important that we rise to it and don’t be afraid. We want to be in a situation where, when it’s over, we’re in the final.

'It’s tough to call - it could come down to the last 15 minutes, it could be extra-time. The important thing is we approach it not thinking we have done the hard part. We need the same rate and to work on a few more things going forward.’

Wigan midfielder James McArthur believes the onus is now on QPR to open up and believes that will suit the Latics. The Scotland international, 26, thinks last season’s FA Cup winners, who also reached the semi-finals of that competition this season where they only lost to Premier League side Arsenal on penalties, will suit being written off.

He said: ‘In the Cup Final last season we didn’t really have any pressure because Manchester City were major favourites, but QPR will be slight favourites going into this game and that suits us.

'We’re dangerous as underdogs - we have done it for the last couple of years. But this is a different match where we know we’ll have to give everything, and hopefully that is enough.

'The pressure will now definitely be on QPR to come out and try to put us under some pressure and hopefully that will benefit us.'

And so what's the betting that Harry will play a back four of Simpson, Ned, Dunne and Hughes if we make the final?...

If that elbow had been Barton's rather than Hill's, we would have had many saying that he should never play for us again etc. etc.

But it came in a period of the game when several Wigan players had already got away with some through the ball tackles, it was stupid of Clint but there was a period when Wigan were really putting it about and seemingly getting away with it...

He would, the player who is too "inexperienced" is going to the world cup finals FFS!

If this happens it'll be bullshit because we've seen some big club players get away with murder in recent years and they don't get retrospectively banned.

Weve always known England players dont get banned, i dont think we can argue with it although it probably would have happened if it was the other way round. It was a really really stupid thing to do and he may miss the biggest game of his life.

No retrospective @FA action against Hill. Ref reviewed incident & took view it was not red card offence #weRtogether pic.twitter.com/RIAbYNpu98

Coming from Ian, that probably makes it pretty much official....

"Ref reviewed incident & took view it was not red card offence"

It never was. I don't understand people's reaction to it on here. There was nothing in it. Nor was there anything in Hoilett's incident.

Neither were the Wigan players dirty. It was hard and fast, the way it should be. Both teams tackled hard and when they went OTT they received a yellow card. People want to destroy the game by removing the rough and tumble of it and to be fair, they've almost succeeded.

    Its nearly ruined already.

I read BAE had gone back to Tottenham with a knee injury. For me as it seems most on here I'd have Yun at LB. But if Arry don't think he's ready yet, Traore is. Best CB'S are surely Clint and Ned with the ones you mention providing bench options.
