http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...arrick-NOT-join-Englands-World-Cup-squad.html Its a shame for him but its good news for us, he can have a nice break now and look forward to next season as well.
Giggs has made sure Rooney is fit for England's WC campaign, he's been paid his mega wages by his club while preparing for Brazil. Bit naughty that tbh.
From a fellow proffesional/managers point of view, there is no point risking an unfortunate injury to a player who has a chance of playing in the world cup by playing him half fit in two dead rubbers.
Those two matches will cost MUFC 660k, Rooney should honour his club contract at all times after all its thanks to his club that he lives in luxury.
MUFC pay his wages regardless of wether he plays or not, what is the point of risking his WC chance for two meaningless games if he is not fully fit?
Depends if he really was injured or whether his mate gave him leeway to be ready for Brazil at the financial expense of Utd.
Why not? We may not value it in this country but others countries certainly do so it would help with signings. It is also another competition that you could win (don't say more games, the reserves can play the group games and progress). Also, next seasons winners get a CL spot too. Personally, I think any club not wanting European football in any format is a disgrace to the game.
I want it, but do the club want the extra competition after a poor season, would they rarther concentrate on domestic honours to get us back on track?
