Iggy - Tan was too liberal with the money and the policing of its' use - that was his mistake, no one else's. He entrusted people with the supposed knowledge to do a job and found them wanting. That's no reason to spit the dummy out and walk away. I doubt he got anywhere near his wealth by making the same mistake twice. As for walking away because of the element of our fan base who constantly bait him for the "larceny of our history", he would be giving in to the boo boys who form a vocal minority. I don't know a single supporter who supports the colour change in any way, nor for any of the reasons offered, but the vast majority believe this is a transient phase in the club's history. Blue will be back with or without Tan. In the meantime, Tan will stick around because of his ego as much as anything else. If he wanted to be loved by the fans, he's ****ed that up big time, but I believe he can build some bridges this coming season. Put it this way - if we bounce straight back up with Tan's money being a fundamental pre-requisite to ensure it, a lot will be singing a different tune next May than this current one. That's how fickle fans can be. There weren't that many shouting at Tan when we won the Championship last season - it's just the anti-Tan bandwagon being fuelled this year by a thoroughly dissappointing season on and off the pitch.
I see some of you are still being hoodwinked. Malky did what was asked to get his pay off. If you really think Malky received no financial incentive then you are naïve. Out of court settlements generally benefit both parties. Win/win.
But it isn't always financial gain when an agreement is made. Malky has taken a hit for whatever reason, perhaps Tans financial backing was to much for Malky to fight. Saying people are hoodwinked because they look at all angles and come to a different conclusion to yours is a bit self absorbed.
I am simply giving my view Taff even if it differs from others. If we all agreed on here it may suit some posters but it would be a boring forum to post comments.
The general perception is that Malky has slopped off with his tail between his legs. Whether that's right or not is not is another question. The suggestion is that Malky has taken a hit publicly for a backhanded financial gain to hand Tan a clean bill of health is a bit fanciful. Maybe it's right, but the vast majority of onlookers who use both eyes instead of just the one will form their own opinions on what we know (and that's very little), not what we're guessing. I doubt the truth will ever come out, so let's move on.
And that's the point Spark. The truth is none of us know what really happened between both parties. We simply form an opinion. Mine differs from others unless Taff is suggesting I tow the party line. I agree with you though, it's now time to move on.
Surely, if this was a complete Tan win, then Malky would have been responsible for Tans fees also? Smells of hush, hush to me. It seems you may never know though.

Why, when it is a mutual agreement? These type of agreements generally are to stop stuff leaking out, a bit ironic given that some believe, in the case of Moody, leaks caused the melt down in the Tan/Mackay relationship.
Hence media can throw around any bollocks about wether he got no money, or mega millions. MM and Tan will both be unable to comment. All the rumours at the moment about the deal are from traditionally pro-ish Tan types. Expect the backlash from their polar opposites soon. Meanwhile those that know, cannot say nowt and you will just have to accept that. If Tan got away Scott free from this, there would be no need for such silence from Mr Ego. The statement from MM is a a random piece designed to save "face" to Tan.
